January 14, 20232 yr Author I legitimately wonder how much of the popularity of the twins thus far in the fandom, somewhat similar to Jorgeous last year, is simply that people find them attractive. On that metric they do absolutely nothing for me.
January 14, 20232 yr Sugar was hysterical in this challenge, I did feel bad for her because she was the only one who had good and funny ideas in that group and they just passed her off. I do think they’ve pre judged them as social media queens, like they’re not even letting them prove themselves when they won’t even take their ideas. I certainly don’t find them attractive but I do like them more and more the more I see, I do think one without the other whenever it happens will be better though so they can’t hide behind the other one or act as a pair. Sasha definitely won for me but Sugar should have been high. I’d have liked to have seen more of Princess Poppy tbh, it felt like her and Irene had a lot more to give than Amethyst. These short episodes are not it, when there’s this many queens left it just means that a lot of them are barely shown. They seem to be showing a lot of the queens who are eliminated or bottom 2 that episode, I guess it will balance out as the ones who go further will get a bit more airtime to make up for it, but eh it’s just not long enough. I mean 14 queens in Snatch Game in a 40 minute episode??
January 14, 20232 yr Author I wonder if they will bring Irene back for S16. I definitely smell a rat with the twins casting, they've been the main characters every ep so far. Feels like deliberately they've been framed as having low expectations so they can 'surprise' us when they do well. That said I don't dislike either of them. They actually remind me a bit of Jan. Agree that raising the number of queens and simultaneously shortening the episodes is a weird flex. Untucked also kind of confuses me in this day and age, those kinds of spinoff shows feel very mid 00s now. So far the queen that's done the least for me is Luxx. I don't think this week's High was deserved and it says to me that she's been Chosen to go far. -_-
January 14, 20232 yr I enjoyed the epsiode. Mistress and Malaysia's talk was lovely, my heart felt for both of them. :snif: The first group was by far and away the best. The second and third group were both quite bad. Only a few highlights here and there. Particularly the Dolly moment. I thought the judging was fairly good with the right top 3 and winner. I would've put Aura in the bottom over Amethyst, with the bottom 2 being Jax vs Poppy. Hopefully we'll see the episodes get a bit better with editing/showing queens as the number of queens dwindles.
