The growth of Festival da Cancao over the years is incredible. :o Once I thought it had a lot of dated songs but now they re-invented their own local music scene. The evolution is astounding!

Apparently one of the televoting lines is broken so there will be 13 finalists instead of 12.

So it will be Encruzilhada, Nasci Maria, Viver, Ai coracao, Contraste mudo, Endless World and Sapatos de cimento going through to the final.

This is a solid choice and great timing to avoid Portugal being typecast as the moody, serious Western country (they were doing great with that tbf but a change was needed).

 

Could be quite a crowd-rouser of a performance.

I like this. Pretty much guaranteed to be the opener of that semi.
