here's my ranking for the week

  1. yunè pinku - Night Light
  2. Nia Archives - Conveniency
  3. JADED - Show My Love
  4. ESSEL & James Hurr - Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)
  5. Jonas Blue & Felix Jaehn - Weekends
  6. Matt Sassari & Goodboys - Sleepwalking
  7. Skrillex & Nai Barghouti - Xena
  8. Nathan Dawe & Bru-C feat. bshp & Issey Cross - Oh Baby

not familiar with yunè pinku beyond the one BJSC entry of hers but this Night Light is sounding great! the new Nia Archives track is rather good too, though not as much as So Tell Me and Baiana (or Banana as my auto-correct wants to call it). JADED has the best of the more bog-standard house records.

let's hope the Nathan Dawe song isn't on any level a hit.

Chosen to make the following order of the songs;

1. JADED – Show My Love

2. Jonas Blue & Felix Jaehn – Weekends

3. Nathan Dawe & Bru-C feat. bshp & Issey Cross – Oh Baby

4. yunè pinku – Night Light

5. Matt Sassari & Goodboys – Sleepwalking

6. Skrillex & Nai Barghouti — Xena

7. Nia Archives – Conveniency

8. ESSEL & James Hurr – Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)

you’ve got until tomorrow morning to cast your vote

can’t say I’m pleased about what’s winning tbh

Great: yunè pinku

Good: Skrillex

Decent: Jaded, Nathan Dawe, Nia Archives, Jonas Blue, ESSEL

Mid: Matt Sassari

I could probably have just cast a vote for yunè without even listening to the rest as that's up there with my favourite songs of the year so far, she's released two 10/10 bangers in a row. And yeah nothing really came close but this is another good single from Skrillex that I'll save to my playlist too, I'm liking how varied this album from him is shaping up to be and I've enjoyed most of the songs (hopefully the Bobby Raps one might click with me more when the album comes out).

The new Nia Archives song is a disappointment sadly, found it a little too repetitive and honestly don't love her vocal performance on it. On the other hand Nathan Dawe has once again turned something I should hate on paper into something I actually think is ok (albeit not one I'm itching to relisten to). The Blu Cantrell rework was surprisingly ok too, and Jonas Blue's was very 'we have southstar at home' but at least a fairly ok knockoff. So overall not a bad week really.

(wow I'm surprised Skrillex was winning this, I've made it a tie but at least it's a tie between the two best songs on the list x)
