Sri Lanka have produced the first shock of this tournament in beating South Africa. The controversy over the decision on van Niekirk is likely to rumble on unless things improve for the rest of the group stage.

England's opening game is against the West Indies today, followed by Australia vs New Zealand.

What is NRR?

Yes, very dominant despite being a team in transition. There was the retirement of Rachael Haynes as well as the departure of the coach Matthew Mott.

Meg Lanning seems to be revitalized.

Jemimah Rodrigues' unbeaten 53 from 38 balls led India to a seven-wicket win over rivals Pakistan in their opening Women's T20 World Cup fixture.

Chasing 150, Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh added 58 for the fourth wicket to steer India to victory.

Pakistan were eyeing a shock victory, with India needing 28 from the final three overs.

But their bowlers struggled for control at the death as India reached their target with an over to spare.

Net run rate, I think.

Tahlia McGrath powers Australia past South Africa and into T20 World Cup semi-finals.

A shame to see England lose their semi-final. They conceded too many runs when South Africa batted first.

I hope, as the hosts, South Africa beat Australia in the final.

My heart is hoping for South Africa, my head is saying it will probably be Australia.
