Thank you Rob for choosing such a great album which I owned once before too!

Poll up now and for anyone who missed the listen through. You always have the Spotify playlist to listen along in your own time ^_^
Voted! Not at all surprised with my favourite track but the singles were always going to stand out for me, even though I owned the album at the time. I was surprised to find joy again in some of the album tracks I had forgot but there wasn’t too much at all from this album to dislike. So overall a very strong album from this decade and one of the band’s best overall.

I’m so sorry I missed this! I will catch up over the weekend

I did wonder but I get something else went down. Be good to hear your thoughts eventually James

Thanks Rob for hosting the listen through, and Wardy for joining. I think my top 6 from the album are:

1 Dosed - mellow but the guitar really elevates this

2 Cabron - not their usual style but such an uplifting song

3 By The Way - frenetic opener with funky breaks

4 Can't Stop - mastery from the fading in drums onwards, some great lines too

5 Warm Tape - epic synth-sound and elongated chorus

6 The Zephyr Song - great pop song, the fact this isn't top 5 for me shows how much quality there was

As per I'll listen once more time and vote later (had already gone through some earlier in the week too mind). BJSC taking over the weekend though so might end up posting my rank into next week
Ooops literally only just remembered this was happening this evening. I'll try and get around to listening to it in my own time some time because I did want to join this one, nevermind x

Track 1: By The Way: A solid start, but I’ve heard it so much that it’s a staple!

Track 2: Universally Speaking: Was this a single? I’ve definitely listened to this before. Needs about 30 seconds cut off the end!

Track 3: This Is The Place: Quintessential RHCP. They are so distinctive in their sound aren’t they? No issues with this one!

4. Dosed - I’ve definitely heard this somewhere before! Weirdly, I never associated it with RHCP until now so I don’t know how and where I’ve become so familiar with this! Loving what I’ve heard so far!
