But this next one sounds promising, Why Me, Why Now, this could have been a single.

Just Can’t Get Enough is certainly a song I had enough of at the time, and don’t need reminding of now. :lol:

Back from dinner. I like the cover of 'Just Can't Get Enough' but they could have chosen an album track or something for charity instead but eh.

I had the listen through on in the background while I was doing other things... it's really not a great album overall is it? :(

 

I still like a bit of 'Set Me Off', but not quite as much as I did in 2008. It's all kinda either aged like milk, or not as strong as it seemed back in the day. Or plain boring in the case of things like 'Vulnerable'.

Same here, was trying to pay attention whilst eating but dropped off. Will catch up from track 6 soon.

Overall I enjoyed the discovery and it made a change of direction from the last few weeks of rock and indie albums. I’m not sure how much I would enjoy their other studio albums but I would be willing to give them a listen too in the future.

If This Is Love - This is nice but a little weak for me, I do enjoy it though.

 

Up - Now this is a great pop song. Catchy, gets stuck in you're head and fun to sing along to. Why wasn't this the lead single?

 

Keep Her - This is nice but a little forgettable.

Issues - I really liked this when I first heard the album in 2009/10 but now I'm not so sure. It'd still pleasant enough but it feels like it just falls a little short for me.

 

Lies - I actually like this one. Not as strong as some of the single but still a nice little pop song. I find it quite catchy too.

 

Work - The song that deserved better. I think it's well know why this peaked where it did in the charts but it is a shame, as it did deserve so much better. Right there with Up in the best songs on the album.

 

 

Chasing Lights - I forget how much I enjoy this song when I haven't heard it for a while. I think this should've been a single over Issues.

 

Set Me Off - I really like this one, it feels like it would've fit on Wordshaker too. Definitely in the top handful of album tracks for me.

 

Fall - Probably an unpopular opinion but this is my favourite ballad on the album. Whilst I don't think it would've worked as a single I do really love it.

Vulnerable - Another one that I like that I think most people don't, not as strong as Fall, Lies, Chasing Lights or some of the singles but it's a nice listen.

 

Why Me, Why Now - I find this one a little forgettable, one of the weaker songs on the album for me.

 

Just Can't Get Enough - Ok confession time, I love this cover! So great and fun and I really like the video too.
