Some pretty good ones there, have a lot of love for You're My Best Friend, such a wholesome and lovely song and was used brilliantly in Shaun of the Dead :wub:

Every song now is an instant classic for me - Hammer to Fall iconic simply because it’s a great song and the way Freddie introduced it to the audience at Live Aid! Your My Best Friend, It’s a Kind of Magic, I Want It All, Crasy Little Thing Called Love and my personal highest pointer if I’d had time to participate (apologies Julian!) These Are The Days a real tear jerker when you look back at the video!

Here’s a controversial thought but where the big lead singles better than the albums they came off especially by the late 80s releases? It’s just everyone has Greatest Hits but have any of their albums been classics? Genuine query as I’ve never listened to any of the individual albums but it’s def going to be a project I could delve into when I’ve listened to all the Beatles ones!

Kind Of Magic should be top 10, my mum adored it and Freddy, and we chose it for her funeral last year.

Great Queen albums: A Night At The Opera is genuinely varied and yet works as a complete set of songs, notably '39 which should have been a single.

The Works, due to the run of singles off it, and it was a bit of a revival for them ahead of Live Aid.

So your Queen Top Ten(ement Funster) in chronological order is -

26/10/74 Killer Queen

08/11/75 Bohemian Rhapsody

27/11/76 Somebody to Love

10/02/79 Don’t Stop Me Now

06/09/80 Another One Bites the Dust

14/11/81 Under Pressure

04/02/84 Radio Ga Ga

14/04/84 I Want to Break Free

27/09/86 Who Wants to Live Forever

26/10/91 The Show Must Go On

oh really thought We are the champions would be top 10 maybe even top 5

Switch that with Killer Queen and the top 10 would be much better

Great top 10, although I'd have preferred We Are The Champions in place of I Want To Break Free - that would have also meant 10 singles from 10 different years.

Aww 'Innuendo' so close to the top 10 :cry: but it doesn't feel nearly as ubiquitous as a lot of their others, a pretty forgotten #1, so it's done very well really.

Thrilled that 'The Show Must Go On' is still to come!

Il def give them two a listen!

These Are The Days Of Our Lives should be top 10 imo. Amazing song!
I'm pleased 'Killer Queen' has made the top 10. Great song. I'd swap 'Another One Bites The Dust' for 'These Are The Days..' or 'We Are The Champions' tbh.

10th - Don't Stop Me Now, 1979

Score: 769

Average score: 38.45

Highest: 50 - jimwatts, BananasInPyjamas

Lowest: 0 - Smint

Polyhex entries:

10/02/1979 Queen Don't Stop Me Now 9 44-38-31-28-22-22-13-{9}-13-16-32-49->12

12/04/2008 Queen Don't Stop Me Now {2007 DL} 47 74-54-{47}-58-57-55-56-59-51-58-64-72-70->13

From the album "Jazz", this only reached #9 but did out-peak the lead single "Bicycle Race" / "Fat Bottomed Girls". Of course it has gone on to become one of their most culturally relevant songs, and has been described as one of the happiest songs ever by various studies.

It would have finished higher without Sminty's 0, but still wouldn't have been higher than 5th, whereas in the BBC poll and in streaming it places 2nd. I guess as music fans we're perhaps a little more fed up of hearing it everywhere than the public as a whole!
