we had the totp2 show on the other night. and it had some people dressed as snowmen singing the hokey cokey. does anyone know if it was actually Ian Dury singing or performaning (like the Wombleman Mike Batt) on that record.

I don't think that this lot ever came out and revealed who they really were. The popular theory at the time was that it was Ian Dury handling the vocals.It could have been Jona Lewie .

 

I heard the theory it was Ian Dury too.

Certainly could have been him. The vocals did sound like they could have come from him.

 

I guess we'll never know now unless someone involved with the record reveals all. Some how i doubt it though.
