This week;

1. Regard & Ella Henderson – No Sleep [Another very good collaboration for Ella Henderson to add to her growing list of dance producers she has worked along with]

2. Armand Van Helden & Roc'Well feat. Coco & Slayrizz – Ride It [This stood out for me this week and I’m glad it was included in this week’s poll, Armand still killing it]

3. Kx5 [deadmau5 & Kaskade] feat. AR/CO – Bright Lights [I’ve been a fan of most of what Kx5 has made so far and this one is quite decent too]

4. Aluna & TSHA – Killing Me [This isn’t bad, it’s probably a good partnership given the similar rhythmic direction high artists are going in]

5. Welshy & Shane Codd – Used to Be [Not a collaboration I would have expected, and it definitely feels like more of a Shane Codd house single than Welshy]

6. Fred again.. x Skrillex x Four Tet – Baby again.. [Not really grabbing me on first impression. I’m not too sure if I would come around to it but it’s very lower-mid for me]

7. Endless Summer [sam Feldt & Jonas Blue] feat. Violet Days – Crying On The Dancefloor [As far as samples go this could have sounded much worse, but I would not say it was unbearable but I wouldn’t return to it]

8. venbee – gutter [Without a doubt the weakest new release this week, just doesn’t have the same appeal that the last single had]

Great: Fred again..

Decent: Kx5, Welshy

Mid: Regard, Armand Van Helden, Aluna, venbee

Awful: Endless Summer

Well that's maybe the most clear cut vote for me to date - I was a little sceptical about this Fred track due to the sample choice (much like I found 'Turn On The Lights again..' a little offputting at first) but it actually works surprisingly well and the production is fantastic. The Kx5 song has good production too but not crazy about the vocals which drags it down a bit. Welshy's was better than expected given the Shane Codd collab. Everything else nah (although well done Ella making the top half this time, somewhat more tolerable than usual x), especially that Endless Summer thing which as I think has already posted just sounds like an attempt to recreate 'I'm Good (Blue)' which we absolutely do not need, thank god this one isn't actually a hit (at least not yet). Although it is slightly better than 'I'm Good (Blue)', not that that's hard x

(the venbee song is also heavily carried by having a fairly good instrumental, some of the vocals are coming uncomfortably close to giving Anne-Marie)

Also belated ratings from last week's poll which I didn't get to vote in on time:

Very good: Calvin Harris

Good: Nia Archives, Gorgon City

Decent: PNAU, Joel Corry, D.O.D

Mid: Tiësto, Karen Harding

So would have voted for Calvin, what a shocker and hot take there. Gorgon City delivering another solid tune there though and PNAU and Joel were both better than expected. Being a little charitable not dropping Karen into 'bad', not that I ever have high expectations for her.
