Ronan in Boyzone comeback

Can Ronan lead a successful Boyzone return?Following the success of Take That's comeback tour, Irish boy band Boyzone has signed up for a reunion tour next year.

 

Despite his successful solo career, Ronan Keating, has agreed to team up with his former band mates which means the group can go one better than Take That who were forced to go on tour without Robbie Williams.

 

An insider said: “It's a massive coup to get all five members signed up, Ronan has been the one that's bee reluctant to agree all along.

 

He has a very successful solo career, but thankfully he's finally realised the success the band could have again and he's given in to the fans.â€

 

It was Keating's decision to leave the band in 1999 that led to its demise and since then the former band members Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch have struggled to regain their previous levels of success.

 

The band is planning to do a tour featuring their greatest hits. “After the tour Boyzone will judge the reaction and decide if they want to keep going together and release an album of new stuff,†said the source.

Not sure about the UK but this rumour has been in the paper daily for months and months here in Ireland and nothing ever happens. I do think it will happen eventually but never believe reports that say 'and a source said' etc :lol:

 

As truely vile as they were, they were much better than Westlife :puke2:

It is probably true as Ronan Keating's solo career has recently been going into decline. 'Iris' was his first ever single to miss the top 10 and the release of 'This I Promise You' was put back so many times and then cancelled and then announced that it had been released on the Wednesday of its release so it missed the top 70 altogether.

is this def true though??if they are im sure its to do with ronans recent decline in sales,but i cant see them out doing take thats comeback,as bad as westlife are they are better than boyzone i think boyzone are dire

Like other people, I think its probably because Ronan's solo career isnt doing so well right now.

I don't think Ronan's sales are to blame here, he's been in decline for years now, I just think it's a case of he can make even MORE money with Boyzone.

Ronan has never said he would be up for doing it, it's mostly been the press and Louis Walsh. Ronan and Louis have apperently made up so It would probebly happen now, although personally I'd rather it didnt. It would be like two awful cheesy boybands making a mockery of Ireland :(

words cannot describe how bad his his cover of 'Fairytail of new york' is <_< Also 'Iris' was embaressingly bad -_-

fairytale and iris were dire cover version he destroyed them

It's one of my all time fave songs, but Ronan's cover was sickening imo :puke2: :P
