For some reason, the description is making me think of the Millennium Dome.

 

 

 

Just realised. P Y Gerbeau, the guy in the WENN picture of Darius at Xscape is the man who was brought to manage the Millennium exhibition and the Millennium Dome itself after some crisis or other shortly before it opened. So if he is behind Xscape, no wonder the description was familiar.

Perhaps he didn't confirm in case there were problems getting back from New York so soon. The organisers could hardly announce him if they were unsure he'd make it.

 

I admit I do blame Brilliant19 for not keeping fans informed but that's because the two official site never kept up with .net re upcoming events. I always looked at .net/.org first.

 

It's a shame I don't have the power to do a Tru Calling and re-run the day.

I can understand them not saying he will definately be appearing, but they could have said he might be. I get the feeling D knew of these events in February, when he told me he would be back in April, so a single email from his management company about the possibility really wouldn't have been too much to ask, in my opinion!

 

D did also mention a couple of other things that may be happening, so if they come off, we should be kept much better informed in the future Let's hope so eh! :rolleyes:

I think the management and Darius are appalling in keeping fans informed on whats going on. I do feel we deserve more. As you say a quick E Mail from either could have kept us all happy.

Totally agree, its not to his benefit to keep people in the dark.

But there might be problems if he's found to be doing it behind his management and promoter's back. Standing on their toes as it were.

Its not rocket science to email Sonnet at dot net or to get a thread posted on Divas .... Ye gods, I have been in communication with his PA twice over the last two years because of the Birthday Card thing and also in connection with some private things ... so they could easily have emailed me!!

 

The last I heard back in January was that Kate Lower is on maternity leave but there is a girl called Chloe Ridley who is supposed to be doing her work

Ten-pin bowling operator Bowlplex has opened its 16th site, within the new Xscape leisure complex in Braehead, near Glasgow.

 

The site – which boasts 22 lanes of bowling as well as the company’s Stadium Sports Bar, American Pool Pit and Video World sub-brands – is Bowlplex’s second in Scotland, following the opening of a centre in Dunfermline at the end of 2005.

 

The new centre was unveiled by Bowlplex managing director Tracy Standish alongside Pop Idol star Darius Danesh and Xscape’s chief executive PY Gerbeau.

 

The Xscape complex also includes two ski slopes, a multiplex Odeon cinema, climbing walls, an aerial assault course and a number of restaurants and bars.

If they only had blue or green balls, he's wise not to take either.

 

If he took blue, he'd alienate the Celtic fans and green, the Rangers fans. He always says he's a Partick Thistle supporter and it is the nearest ground to his family home. I don't think he's really in to football but it's life or death stuff for a lot of families, not just individuals in Glasgow.

Gosh Baytree didn't realise colours meant so much.....

 

...they are just bowling balls....they tend to have the same colours in each bowling alley, certain colour for a each weight so there should be more than 2 colours..

I've misjudged the Scottish media - in fact the Evening Times had an article on the day of the opening which I found on the net last night. They did mention that Darius would be there and said he was just back from Tartan Day in New York. They didn't specifically say he would be performing but he was listed alongside the other two artists - Danii Minogue and Orson.
