He’s had rock-ish elements for a while now (Circles, Take What You Want), but it’s hardly a full transition like MGK really. ‘Mourning’ isn’t rock at all!

Indeed. I feel like a full rock album will come from him eventually though.

He’ll easily beat Anne-Marie to #1 album. I reckon she’ll be #1 on sales but he’ll be #1 officially as his album streams will be a lot bigger than hers

Twelve Carat Toothache opened with 11,264 just last year, Therapy opened with 18,260 in 2021. Anne-Marie will *vastly* outdo Post Malone on pure sales and her streaming won't be poor enough to undo her physical advantage IMO.

There’s absolutely pretty noticeable elements of indie rock in ‘Chemical’. And it sounds like that’ll be more of an influence in the album tracks, based on this new preview of ‘Something Real’:

Yeah he’s went down the more pop route I’d say slight elements of rock but in a way that Kelly Clarkson and P!nk can have a rock element but still remain pop.

 

I’m definitely here for another Posty album though he’s amongst my favourite males at the moment and I’ve always really liked him vocally. I’d like to see this era do well for him Chemical was robbed of a top ten placing! Hopefully there’s a smash ready to go just before the album drops.

I think ‘Mourning’ would have had a bigger push by now if he was going for that one.

This is lovely! I hope the whole album is in this kinda scope.

 

 

It doesn’t sound like a hit, but I’d much rather he release music like this than chase major success.

This album is so indie-rock oriented it hurts... but it fits him well

 

Ugh why didn't Chemical become a huge hit, people would be still aware this song exists

Mourning and Overdrive have made me into quite a fan :wub: giving the album a listen now

I’d rather the album effect sent EIE into the top 40 than to give Chemical a reset

I will go and buy it in the dark judging it on previews on BB H100 previews. Sounds fun!

I’m quite liking this on first full listen.

 

He’s very consistent with me so another strong album.

 

Hoping this can have some decent longevity but was good to see him score another top 3 album here in the UK. All his studio albums managing a top ten peak is good going.
