Posted April 14, 20232 yr 9th April 2023 It's back up for a 3rd time, and this time all the way to the top for Depeche Mode's fabulous Ghosts Again on it's 9th week on the chart, their 2nd number one 33 years after Enjoy The Silence first did it, and 42 years since they debuted, and 41 years since I saw them in concert in Sheffield. That leaves Miley Jaded at 2 for now, but it was a close thing. Meanwhile classic February 1975 UK chart-topper January returns following the sad death of guitarist Billy Lyall, his riffs are vital to the success of January, and also Magic, which pops in at 80. My favourite Pilot record was Just A Smile, but it flopped in 1974, before topping my chart in a re-recorded version in 1975, but January under-performed at the time for me. Billy also did the end fade guitar solo on Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights. Reverend & The Makers' album track leapfrogs their last single to 30, and Kishi Bashi is back again with a not-quite-so-old classy strings ballad, Violin Tsumani at 53. Jungle also return, they never make the chart, but they are consistently good, Candle Flame a dance track with added Erick The Architect, one of those old-fashioned rappers where you can understand what they rap and it's worth hearing, cliche free. April 15, 20232 yr Hello John! Raincatchers is pretty superb! That's a good climb for I wrote a song! Hopefully that will do decent at Eurovision. I do have high hopes this year but I am also prepared to be dissapointed. A massive and well deserved climb for Miracle. I could listen to it all the time honestly haha. It's so good! Baby don't hurt me is decent I think? I do have it playlisted next week but I'm really unsure as to how I feel about it at the moment. Nice chart ^_^

Busy ol life I have, had to rollowver my chart last week :o Depeche rebound was just a mood thing I think, the lyrics just caught me at the right time and I love the sound of it and tune anyway! You were at school when January was a hit? Yay, not just me and Suedey then.
