Thanks, I'm sorry I missed that. I haven't seen any telly since Christmas. I'll just have to dig out my video.

I thought it was one of the best "mania" programmes. I couldn't see the point of Johnathan Wilkes and Suranne Jones but apart from them, I thought the artists were chosen well. They sang live, they gave due respect to the era and like the original cast of the film Grease, they just had fun.

One thing puzzles me - what happened to Sarah Whatmore? I have a distant memory of her being on the soundtrack album but she was not in the TV show I saw.

I know Lisa Scott Lee didn't perform as well as she would have wanted and her bit was edited, but surely Sarah couldn't have been cut. Maybe she was ill on the night the TV show was filmed.

Yes, you're right BT Sarah Whatmore is on the album - she sings 'Look at Me I'm Sandra Dee' but it is a terrible version!! :) Samantha Mumba is also on the album singing 'Blue Moon' but she wasn't on the show either.

Blue Moon?

Now you've got me wondering if it featured in the original film. I certainly don't remember it.

I thought the original "Sandra Dee" was brilliant. I haven't a clue where my Greasemania album is but I'm tempted to dig it out just to hear Sarah's version again.
