Posted April 30, 20232 yr Lewis Capaldi gets an easy 2nd week at #1 with the sublime Wish You The Best. Kelly Clarkson is up to #2 with Mine and Michael Bolton climbs to #3 with his typically great Just The Beginning. Ed slips to #4 with Eyes Closed and Cian Ducrot slips a place to #5. Sophie Ellis Bextor and Charlie Puth are on the rise just behind with their respective songs. Texas get the week's highest new entry with their fab new song After All at #9, a return to form for me. Just behind is the return of the wonderful Anastacia with Best Days at #10, her best in ages I think. Jess Glynne also makes a comeback this week at #12 with Silly Me, not quite as great as her previous hits but still good. Jessie Ware enters at #21 with Begin Again, taken from her album That Feels Good. Niall Horan debuts at #27 with his Meltdown. Finally Ed Sheeran's Boat comes in at #37, not my favourite of his but could well be a grower. April 30, 20232 yr Hi Adele! Nice to see "Wish You The Best" at the top and the debuts for "Silly Me", "Begin Again", "Meltdown" and "Boat". Great chart!
May 1, 20232 yr Hey Adele! I'm glad eyes closed is still doing well. It's so good. Silly me is alright but definitely not what I've come to expect from Jess Glynne. Miracle making a swift exit it seems. That isn't what I expected either. ^_^
May 2, 20232 yr Author Thanks for your comments. Still loving Eyes Closed, Boat’s ok but not great by Ed’s high standards. Miracle has had a decent run, peaking in my top 5, still got a few more weeks left in it I reckon. I was a bit disappointed by Silly Me, it’s good enough and might grow on me. It doesn’t quite have what the likes of Hold Me Hand, I’ll Be There and All I Am have.
