January 1, 200718 yr what im lookingforward to is seeing which old song will be the first to do very well on th echart
January 1, 200718 yr There's 2 versions of "Crazy" I've heard, by Gnarles Barkley. Would these sales be combined or would "Crazy" (sales allowing) have 2 separate chart positions? Also, I presume some Album tracks are available to download individually. So, if a single is around, would sales from both sources be combined or chart separately? What if the single version varies from the Album version, would that make a difference?
January 2, 200718 yr The charts will still be controlled by promotion from the music industry, (even though there has been a lack of it these days, leading to the rubbish sales, BRING BACK THE LIKES OF CDUK!! :P )
January 2, 200718 yr Yes, I also agree, album tracks should be a no-no. I agree in principle but as time goes on the rule would be unworkable. Once we begin to have big selling tracks that don't receive a 'physical' release it will become a very grey area as to what is a 'single' and what is an album track.

Maybe their trying to do what America do?
January 2, 200718 yr Yes I presume so. The same way that if you went into a record shop and accidentally bought the single 100 times, it would probably chart :P I'm worried now.....I'm forever buying 100 copies by accident! I always MEAN to just buy 1, but you know how it is, another 99 just fall onto the counter! :D
