The string melodies have been jumping out a lot at me recently. Can this stop being so underrated on here :wub:

Was thinking about her earlier and I think that she's already had her big moment. The way this has only blown up on the film, I think she will be now in for a steady decline in terms of impact and success. As let's face it, its always been about the music and not her in general anyway. She got lucky with the pandemic and releasing when she did

She isn't a gaga or adele she is more a goulding in 2015 without the streaming era

Dua released the best pop album of this decade so far and had a big glow up as a performer and artist. She didn't "got lucky with the pandemic" LOL

 

Dua is a global star that just toured arenas around the world. The GP love her. She has 89 million followers on Instagram. Ellie Goulding could never.

I think if you look back at the 2010-2015 period darling Ellie was one of the top grossing artists. They both have had amazing success and very simialr not denying that I just think she will follow the trend of decline now.

Future nostalgia is up there in my favourite albums of all time!

Yeah I think a decline is gonna happen but can't say that will happen with the next era without knowing what it will sound like.

 

It's been confirmed that it's not disco and we know Dua is hungry to be a big pop girl and grow and innovate. The recent collabs and soundtrack single of course aren't representative of that but we'll see it with the lead single I'm sure

 

I don't see how Dua and Ellie are similar

If the lead single is great she could do a Harry Styles and have a huge era again. Dua Lipa was savior of the pandemic and her fanbase grew a lot

why does she have to be Gaga or Ellie lol

 

She's pretty good standing on her own and I agree with kath...we don't know yet what she'll bring for her third era!!!

 

Also just for stats purposes since you mentioned Gaga, don't forget Gaga was on a rapid decline from album #3 before she managed to find mainstream success again with her soundtrack and then following up with Chromatica!!!

Since Dave is going ACR apparently week after this, do you think it's time for Dua's team and label to get creative and get her another #1?!!

I wish they would! Physicals have never been released for any of her singles before (apart from Cold Heart and One Kiss which were not promoted by her team)

CD singles coming out! #1 confirmed I think? Unless Billie pulls ahead or Olivia massively over performs but I can't see it. It's grown on me massively and probably one of my fave songs of the year!
