Posted December 30, 200618 yr It has been confirmed by Keisha that Good To Be Gone will no longer be the second single from the greatest hits album. It was due for release on January 29th but due to lack of time has been cancelled. Although, Keisha has said that there is much better material from the new album on it's way soon. -Generation Sugababes - SugababesUK -_- Edited December 30, 200618 yr by Simon
December 30, 200618 yr I'm not surprised at all mate I think somebody said in another thread that it will be released on 7" so technically under the new chart rules it could chart, doubt it though as you can't by the download on it's own Don't be worried if you think Easy and GTBG are not as good as other stuff, because they had no input in creating them, it was just Orson's take on songwriting fo them So I'm quite sure they'll be back to normal fr the 5th album
December 30, 200618 yr Oh I'm a bit disappointed tbh :( Well at least they have a good shot at scoring another Top Ten hit now ^_^
December 31, 200618 yr I can't wait for the new album, I really can't. I prefer it when they have input 'cos then the music is more of my taste. I don't like this "new sound" much ...
December 31, 200618 yr I'm disappointed there won't be another single from the Greatest Hits album but I have to admit, I didnt think "Good to be gone" was a good choice of single anyway.
December 31, 200618 yr I think the latest Sugababes sound is brilliant. :D It's a shame 'Good To Be Gone,' isn't getting a release as it would have been my 2nd favourite Sugababes single. Apparently the 7'' story was just a rumour from Wikipedia and it's not true.
December 31, 200618 yr That means we won't get anymore sugababes for agggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggges :(
December 31, 200618 yr Realistically I suppose 'Good To Be Gone,' could still chart with the new rules coming into place from tomorrow but it's not very likely seeing as it isn't been released as a single so therefore it will have no promo. The only way it could maybe chart imo is on a week of very low sales of people buying as it's the only track on Overloaded:The Singles Collection they don't have. I personally think for even that to happen they would have to perform on a very high viewed TV show for people to notice the track. Edited December 31, 200618 yr by TheOrdinaryArcticBoy
January 1, 200718 yr im a bit annoyed as i love the single and i think the new sound for the two singles is great. easy is one of my fave song of theirs. but tbh the sound isnt commerical enough and the public arnt used to them with that music, hence easy charting so low. nd tbh i dont think good to be gone would of charted any higher than no.12. so its good in a way its been cancelled. cant wait for the new album,it will defi be worth the wait, dnt worry lol. and hopefully the 1st single will be no.1 like they usually do with every album. and a few more top 5's. :D
January 2, 200718 yr Maybe both girls groups will release their new studio albums with the duet as the lead single?
January 3, 200718 yr Such a shame, i absolutely love this song bu tmaybe its best left on the album. I can't wait to see if the comic relief duet with girls aloud, i think theyd be busy doing that atm rather than prmoting GTBG
January 4, 200718 yr Yeah, heard it last night and it is pretty bad. Would of only just sraped the top 20 even with a good video i reckon.
