Another penalty in the World Cup, there has been a penalty in every match at this World Cup.

And this time Stanway scores to make it 1-0 to England at the second attempt from the penalty which had to be retaken after encroachment from the keeper.

Really average from England, they just lack fluidity. We've had the ball in and around the box, plenty of crosses that just weren't connected with. With a little more creativity you can see where a goal will come from, but it's pretty concerning England have had all that play without creating a clear chance.

Hopefully we improve as the tournament goes on. From the sounds of it, China and Denmark will both be tough games too.

Just as in the European Championship last year, England start with a nervy 1-0 win.

China investing lots of energy into their press. They have to reward themselves otherwise they become flat and Denmark can punish.

China v Denmark was very evenly matched as expected - Denmark just getting lucky right at the end, giving themselves a good chance of going through.

What was less expected was how evenly matched England and Haiti were! Whether Haiti are a lot better than we anticipated or whether England are struggling remains to be seen I guess.

As for the next half the next goal is crucial. If Denmark get it, I think unfortunately they could turn this around.
