A dramatic day in their Bundesliga. With minutes to go, Bayer Leverkusen, unbeaten all season, were a goal down at home to Hoffenheim. Two late goals gave them another victory to take them 13 points clear of Bayern. In the late kick-off, Bayern, who had scored 13 goals in their last two league games, lost at home to Borussia Dortmund. So, with just seven games to go, Leverkusen have a 13-point lead. Three more wins and they end Bayern's title-winning run.
Bayern Munich were 2-0 up at half-time at Heidenheim but managers to lose 3-2. Bayer Leverkusen won 1-0 at Union Berlin. They know only need to win one of their last six games to win the title.

They managed to finish as runners-up in three competitions in one season back in the noughties.

They managed to finish as runners-up in three competitions in one season back in the noughties.

This I remember, it was 2001/02 when they had Michael Ballack amongst other in their team. They were runners-up in the German League, German Cup & Champions League. They knocked out three English teams (Arsenal, Liverpool & Man Utd) on the way to the final but Zinedine Zidane's wonder goal beat them in the final.

Great achievement for Leverkusen and to still be unbeaten in all competitions at this stage of the season is phenomenal. They must be one of the best teams in Europe right now and it will be interesting to see how they perform in the Champions League next season. Credit to Xabi Alonso for the impact he's had on the team.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta says he will not rule out taking legal action over Lamine Yamal's 'phantom goal' against Real Madrid.

Teenager Yamal thought he had put Barcelona 3-2 ahead at the Bernabeu but Real keeper Andriy Lunin, who was behind the goalline, clawed the ball away.

The visitors were adamant the ball had crossed the line but the referee ruled it had not and with no goalline technology in La Liga, the video assistant referee (VAR) could not prove it.

How clear do VAR need to see the ball has crossed the line?

Juventus booked their place in the Coppa Italia final in dramatic fashion after a 3-2 aggregate win over Lazio.

Arkadiusz Milik scored seconds after coming on as a substitute in the 83rd minute to send the Old Lady through at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio's Valentin Castellanos headed in after 12 minutes into the match in Rome, before adding his second of the tie three minutes after half-time.

Despite losing the second leg 2-1, Massimiliano Allegri's side progressed.

After losing the first leg in Turin 2-0, Lazio were given hope of turning the semi-final around when Castellanos nodded home from a corner.

The striker then put Lazio 2-0 up on the night, and level on aggregate, after drilling a low shot beyond Mattia Perin just after the break.

With the game heading towards extra time, Poland international Milik tapped into an empty goal to put Juve into the final against Fiorentina or Atalanta.

Barcelona coach Xavi will remain at the club until at least the end of his contract in June 2025 after changing his mind that this would be his last season.

The 44-year-old announced in January he would step down as boss this summer.

But, with president Joan Laporta keen for him to remain, the former Barcelona and Spain midfielder has performed a U-turn.

Xavi took charge in November 2021 after leaving Qatari club Al Sadd and guided Barca to the Spanish title in his first full season in charge in 2022-23.

Bayern announced in February that Tuchel will leave the club at the end of the season, a year before his contract ends.

"Even though this topic is good for me when they [the fans] wish you to stay, it's not something that is a priority," said Tuchel.

It's the Harry Kane effect! :heehee:

Leverkusen living up to their nickname "Bayer Neverlusen" by completing the league season unbeaten. Two more games for them to go the entire season unbeaten in all competitions and I think they will do it. Pretty much a perfect season for them.
