The more I think about it, the more I don't want him to do it. At first I thought it would be a good idea to at least perform, but hand TT an award at the Brits considering how $h!t he has been treated by the Brits for the past 4 years then no! He may have won more Brits than anyone in history but as you said, ever since he has become mege famous worldwide the brits have given him nothing, apart from the Angels award but that song is 10 years old so did'nt exactly award him for anything recent. <_<

If the Brits gave him Best Male or Best Live Act then I wouldnt mind him giving TT an award, at least he wouldnt look like some loser. A performance would be quite special though.

Jackie has said it all. -_-

If they want a reunion, fine - but why not ask them to perform together ? Instead they want Rob to grovel and present TT with an award. How come in the past 10 years no one ever came up with the great idea to have TT present an award to Rob ... ? <_<

I can't say I would be very pleased to see Rob hand an award to TT while he gets nothing (which is what I expect to happen) I still sorta hope he will do it because at least it would show the public and the stupid press that Rob is not jealous of TT's success. On the other hand imagine the bad press he will get if he refuses to present that award, God help us... :puke2:

Not boring being a Robbie fan is it? :)
Is it official or just speculation that Robbie is going to present TT with an award

sparkle, it came from the Daily Star originally I think, so it's speculation at this point.

But I would not be surprised at all if the Brits people asked Rob to present the award, I think it's very likely

Tara's naked night

Jan 7, 2007, 12:00 GMT

Tara Palmer Tomkinson once got locked outside her house naked in the middle of the night.

The British socialite was so embarrassed she put a traffic cone over her head so no one would recognise her.

Tara revealed to Britain's Heat magazine: "I recently got locked out of my house naked at midnight. I put a bollard on my head and ran to the shop, wrapped in a doormat!"

The TV presenter also praised former love Robbie Williams, insisting he wooed her with his amazing compliments and chat-up lines.

She said: "I get chatted up lots, but the best person at it ever is Robbie Williams, because he's lovely. He's been to the right charm school, and he got a good result."

Oh yes. With a little 'incentive' added I'd be all for it.

And while we're on the subject of The Brits. This 'lifetime achievement' award thing. Isn't it about time?

Yes Rob should get an award and I want the Brits to give him one because they think he deserves it and not because they want him to show up.

I don't think he should do it as it all will be turned around by the press and will be a bit demeaning I think. I don't even think he should perform with them either. They finished as a fourpiece, that's the way they wanted it, they didn't want Rob then so why do they want him now ?! Is it because they really miss him and love him as they say or is it because he's the big successful star that he is. Funny how there was no love and they didn't miss him when he was a mess and lying in gutters. Now they want him back, ofcourse it will make them look better and the nice guys that they are to say how much they love and miss him and want him back. If he'd be the same mess he was when they kicked him out, or not the successful star that he is I doubt they'd be so quick to want him joining them.

Some say it would show that he's sorry and humble him in the public's eye, in the press or whatever, but why exactly does he need to be humbled ?? I get a sense that some fans have still not forgiven him for 'abandoning' the band and its almost as if they are a bit bitter and resent that he's made it as big as he has, as if they want him to apologize for his success. I simply don't get that mentality. And why does he have to be sorry or show that he's sorry. He's apologized, he's met up with them and as far as we know they've all made their peace with each other, Rob's been nothing but complimentary about them so what is it that he has to be sorry for ?? I do wonder what it will take for people to get off his back with this sorry thing and humbling thing. Do they want him to grovel, get on his knees and beg for forgiveness ? will that do it ?

I think he should stay away from the Brits all together win or not. I'd hope he would have better people to spend Valentine's Day with. :P

TAKE THAT 1 ROBBIE 0

Alice Walker - The Sunday People

TAKE THAT could pip ROBBIE WILLIAMS to be the first to play live at the new Wembley Stadium.

The lads are in talk with venue bosses ahead of their tour later this summer.

Ex-bandmate Robbie had planned to perform at Wembley last year but changed his plans when the stadium wasn't built.

A source said: "Robbie's gutted that the lads could pip him. He wanted to play there first."

Thanks to TRWS

Sad sad pathetic press yet again.

Robbie has never once said he would be touring next year.

He's too happy the tour end ^_^ Maybe 1 concert in Ireland this year though  :P

I too will be very surprised if Robbie intends to do any kind of touring this year. I always thought Take That were the more likely candidates to 'open' the new Wembley than Robbie when all these rumours started to surface.

Asha Bhonsle to croon with Robbie Williams

Bharti Dubey

[ 8 Jan, 2007 0007hrs ISTTIMES NEWS NETWORK ]

Asha Bhonsle is all set to sing with international pop singer Robbie Williams for her album Asha and Friends.

After teaming up with Sanjay Dutt, Urmila Matondkar and Australian cricketer Bret Lee, Asha Bhonsle is all set to sing with international pop singer Robbie Williams for her album Asha and Friends.

Vijay Akela who has written the lyrics says, "Ashaji has recorded her part of the song at the Sangeet Studio." He continues, "Robbie was keen on working with Ashaji after she was nominated for the second time for the Grammy Awards."

However, this is not for the first time that she will be collaborating with a foreign artiste. In the mid-1980s, sung Boy George and Stephen Lauscombe for Bow Down Mister.

In 1997, she sang with Code Red and also recorded The Way You Dream with Michael Stipe. In 1997, the British band Cornershop paid tribute to her with their song Brimful of Asha.

In 2001, Nelly Furtado's, I'm Like A Bird included a Nellie vs Asha remix. In 2003, Sarah Brightman used Asha's song Dil Cheez Kya Hai as an intro for her album Harem.

Kinda sorta about Robbie, for one line at least. And that's why it's in the "nasty" section.

PAOLO'S AMERICAN DREAM

Scots soul sensation is aiming for success Stateside with new tour

Showbiz Liz & Beverley Lyons

SCOTS singing sensation Paolo Nutini has set his sights on America and plans an assault on the country that has so far rejected the likes of Robbie Williams and Oasis. btw, I don't remember the US REJECTING Oasis...they are pretty popular actually.

The 20-year-old, who had an amazing year in 2006, selling close to a million records with platinum debut These Streets, is about to embark on a 25-gig, three-month tour of the US later this month.

And as his diary fills up fast with interviews and gigs to coincide with the release of his album Stateside on January 30, Paolo believes all the hard work will mirror his UK success.

Paolo said: "It's been a really busy year with touring all over Europe, playing T in the Park and playing at the Montreux Jazz Festival.

"I've some time off before we go to Europe to play a few places we missed out last year, then we're going over to the States to work on the album release.

"We've been over a few times already and done some TV shows and a few other bits of promo, but we'll be doing much more this time.

"I think the key will be the live gigs. They haven't heard us play live yet. I think that's where we come over best.

"Hopefully people will buy tickets and come to the gigs.

"I'm just going to see how it goes and not worry about it too much."

But the Paisley youngster thinks that any success he manages to achieve himself will all be thanks to Scottish bands who have made it big in the US in the past - outfits such as Seventies' funksters The Average White Band, who managed to crack the tough US market.

He said: "I think the Americans are just a bit more open-minded when it comes to music. They won't simply think of me as some Scottish guy trying to sing soul music.

"I think they'll be more willing to accept me because they have all heard a story about a some old Scottish band or another, such as The Average White Band."

Paolo will kick off his 25-date tour in Chicago on January 25. As well as the gigs he will be appearing on various TV shows across the country before finishing in LA at the end of March.

And he hopes to hook up with some new showbiz mates - Rod Stewart and Paul Weller, whom he met this year on his UK tour.

He said: "Paul is a great guy. A real gentleman. He's playing a few dates in New York when I'm there so hopefully we'll hook up. And Rod is supposed to in town around then too so we'll see."

But if things don't work for Scotland's new soul sensation he's happy to return to his fans on this side of the Atlantic.

He said: "If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. We have a good thing going over here and a sell-out tour later in the year.

"We'll come back and work on that and maybe I'll finally get some time to work on my second album."

Robbie Williams and TPT back together?

Monday, January 8 2007, 13:34 GMT

By Matt Houghton

Tara Palmer-Tompkinson has said that there is "still chemistry" between herself and Robbie Williams.

The pair had a ten-day relationship in May last year, but reportedly remain in touch with each other.

The socialite told The Mirror, "Robbie texts me all the time now. I've known him for three years and we are still close.

"Robbie has to share himself with millions of people and I'm lucky he's got time for me."

Robbie Williams has suffered from depression in the past, but Palmer-Tompkinson said: "He's told me he's over his stress now. People have a go at him for being ratty but it's no wonder because he's always surrounded by so many people who want a piece of him."

Why is this woman always in the press yammering about how close she and Robbie and how good of friends they are and how romantic he is blahblahblah??? If she was such a good friend why is she talking to the press all the time? And if she is WHY IS HE FRIENDS WITH HER?!?!

:arrr:

Robbie's £171,000 per week

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007010566,00.html

January 11, 2007

ROBBIE WILLIAMS is the man who proves that money really can’t buy you love — or even happiness.

I’ve been shown a copy of his company’s latest accounts, which reveal Robbie paid himself £7.2million for the past year. In four years Robbie has raked in a colossal £40million.

That is £35.6million wages with nice dividend payments on top.

The salary alone breaks down as an average of £171,000 a week — or £25,000 a day. That is more than the highest-paid Premiership footballers get.

Chelsea’s ANDRIY SHEVCHENKO and MICHAEL BALLACK don’t really come close. That must be some consolation for the soccer-mad star, who these days seems to enjoy kicking a ball around more than he does performing.

Yet despite all his money, Rob is still single and unhappy.

He takes anti-depressants so he doesn’t crack up and one famous pal of his told me recently: “Rob actually suffers from manic depression.â€

If cash really did solve all your problems Robbie would be dancing down the street clicking his heels together. I’ve seen the latest figures filed by Robbie’s accountants for his firm The In Good Company Co Ltd.

It was set up in October 2002 when Robbie signed his deal with EMI Records.

For the year ending in March 2006 he paid himself £7,186,446. That was based on an increase in turnover to £17.2million from £15million the previous year.

The accounts note that the extra earnings were from income from his Intensive Care album and also from his website robbiewilliams.com — which charges to become a premium member and join his “Inner Sanctum.â€

The total sum comes from ongoing revenues from all his EMI records, merchandising and all “other commercial activities.â€

In March 2006 Robbie also had £29million in CASH sat in a bank account ready to fund his Intensive Care Tour.

The accounts predict a revenue increase in 2007 — thanks to profits from his Rudebox album and the Close Encounters world tour.

So although Rudebox hasn’t sold as well as previous Robbie albums, he’s still laughing all the way to the bank . . . or should that be sulking?

OH no...here we go!!!

He really has some cheek charging for the official site when he ears such an unbelievable amount of money. -_-

It's none of the Sun's business how much he earns, I hate all the 'Robbie is miserable' c**p. It is so boring.
