Posted January 2, 200718 yr Well Evanescence are a group that always help me get my frustrations out when i'm angry. Everytime I have an arguement, just generally annoyed, feeling unhappy, I can just put on an Ev track and it really helps me release my anger. I know it's been said a million times but the lyrics are just so meaningful, no matter what i'm feeling I know one of the Ev tracks can cover my emotion. That's what I love about it, there is no other artist that can help me release my anger anywhere even close to what Evanescence can. At the minute i'm hooked on Lithium, the lyrics just get me. I know to most of you this is just waffle, but I felt the need to say it.

January 2, 200718 yr Author Evanescence help you get your anger out?  lol It seems strange to me  -- But Im sure the ballads help  Yeah, I just sit here and brood over it. Mainly the singles really, the one that helped me the most was Everybody's Fool, I know most people think it's an awful single, but it means the most to me. Actually it's not even so much the ballads, just all of it really.
January 2, 200718 yr I love waffle. Anyway I guess I kind of feel the same as you, Kelly. Evanescence and their music has sort of given me emotional outlets and a chance to explore how I feel. It certainly makes a lot of situations easier anyway, to have songs I can play that I really feel for. Everybody's Fool was a good one for me because I actually feel like no one knows me and that's what it's all about. Other songs that help me - Bleed (I Must Be Dreaming), October, Good Enough, Breathe No More, Like You, Away From Me, Anything For You, The Last Song I'm Wasting On You, Lies and Field Of Innocence mainly. Probably because the situations those songs describe I have been in and because I know Amy Lee always write so passionately and that helps me get my release in the best way for me probably. I too have never found another band I feel I connect with on so many levels. Their music doesn't necessarily make me happy but it allows me to be me because I can identify with it. I'm trying to find the words tonight but just can't so my post will also make zero sense! Edited January 2, 200718 yr by NatalieMT
January 3, 200718 yr My essay in the lounge the other night is enough to tell you why. I may not be a mega dedicated fan that follows them everywhere and is obsessed but I couldnt have gotten through the past year without their music and I will always be grateful to them for that. Amy Lee is just a genius and such an inspiration and if she can get through all she has had to deal with then I can find the strength to get through what I face. My Immortal is just one of the most gorgeous, emotional songs ever written - it fills me with so many memories and feelings and I agree Kelly Everybody's Fool is also amazing - my 2nd favourite song. I also love the extra dark tone delivered in 'Haunted' and 'Breathe No More' is another heart wrenching song. I feel Evanescence's lyrics and music capture my real emotions more than any words or any other song could ever do.
