Forgot about Calvin surprised he’s this high but well deserved - he’s like a quality version of Guetta!

I do really like Calvin, I gave him 3 points, didn’t expect him at high as 6 though !

So I'm presuming we have left:

Jacko

George Michael

Elton John

David Bowie

The Weeknd?!

Very good position for Calvin. :D

My faves: I Need Your Love and Under Control.

TOTAL UK TOP 40 HITS: 36

BIGGEST HIT: BLINDING LIGHTS (#1, 2019)

So happy to see The Weeknd so high! Happy to see I’m not the only 30 pointer too.

By far my favourite current male. So innovative, creative, versatile, talented. A true icon (for me at least). I can’t wait to see where his next era takes us but very happy with that placing especially considering everyone who’s above him have a stellar catalogue and he’s the most recent act within the top 10!

Ooh so Bowie has climbed since last time *.*

Great spot for The Weeknd especially considering he only broke through in the 2010s while others remaining have/had careers spanning several decades. 'House of Balloons / Glass Table Girls' is my favourite of his pre-commercial breakthrough, while the timeless-sounding 'Save Your Tears' is my #1 from his hits - topped my personal chart twice over, solo and with Ari.

Excellent result for The Weeknd, not only top 5 but more than 100 points ahead of #6! My favourites from him are the predictable ones from After Hours - 'Blinding Lights', 'Save Your Tears', 'In Your Eyes' (next would be one from the title track, 'I Feel It Coming' from earlier and 'Less Than Zero' from later).

The Wekend is very very high!

Not sure he has the credentials to be remembered as a legend or anything close to one!

Weeknd is very good (although I forgot to vote for him) Not sure he deserves a top 5 tho but each to their own!

The Weeknd

Definitely my favourite male star of the past decade or so. I've been a fan since his Trilogy days and it's so weird to think that he would go on to become so successful, I'd definitely never have guessed it back then. In terms of his albums, I don't think he's ever bettered his initial Trilogy offering although most of his albums do have some stand out moments. It took me a while to adjust, probably feeling he'd 'sold out' a bit from where he started - but I mellowed to it over time and realised that he was still releasing some great singles. I don't think it helped that Earned It was his first big song in the UK, I still think it's completely weak now, and Can't Feel My Face was another that I wasn't huge on... good job The Hills was so successful too as that's much more faithful to his origins. Blinding Lights is the best pop song of the decade for me, totally deserving of its success and something that I have never gotten tired of hearing... the same for his other 80s inspired tracks like Save Your Tears and Less Than Zero. Belong To The World and The Birds Pt 1 are the early hits that never were.

The Wekend is very very high!

He will be like the Prince of this era imo!

I didn't vote for The Weeknd, he's a bit hit and miss for me. When he delivers, he really delivers, but there's also plenty I'm not too fond of. 'I Feel It Coming', 'Take My Breath' and 'Can't Feel My Face' are my faves. I don't mind if I never hear 'Blinding Lights' again, as I'm a bit sick to death of that.
Def have to listen to more Weeknd albums. 'Starboy' was my favourite single of the tens. Really hated 'Earned It' and never was that keen on 'Blinding Lights' but all his other songs great. His rather disturbing imagery really reflects the times we live in unfortunately. Complete genius.
Crazy to see he has only one #1 in the UK. I'm so used to him having seven in the US!

I agree that it feels crazy that the Weeknd has only had a single UK #1. I can immediately think of at least four others that were massive enough that i'm sure your average non chart geek wouldn't question it being a #1 single.
