Round 7 is ready! To confirm you are voting for the next theme of Club Bizarre to be hosted in October. Please be aware of the voting option change below as we approach the final stages.

Rules

  • You can only vote for your least favourite theme in this round. The multiple choice option has been removed.
  • The bottom two themes will still be eliminated.
  • You have until 23:59 (BST) on 05/10/23 to vote.
  • You are still free to reveal your nomination choice now should you wish to or keep it a secret, it's up to you.

Theme Explanations

*Techno & Artistic/Experimental Electronica - Artistic electronic music so may not necessarily have a big drop or sound 'dated'. It sounds a bit more atmospheric

*Celebrating the Rise of Woman & Non-Binary People in Music - To celebrate the rising levels of equality within the business. People could choose to submit either a classic dance vocalist, an early pioneer or one of the increasing numbers of female/non-binary DJs and producers who are becoming more prominent

*Transformations - Remixes, covers, samples, interpolations, reworks etc. that completely transform the original piece. Highlighting the transformative nature of dance and electronic music and its ability to shapeshift and inspire future generations of music.

Voting for Industrial now (I'd probably love that theme myself but realistically it seems a tad too niche)
Disco was my suggestion so that's what you would have got if this poll wasn't happening. I'm still happy to host any of these themes, some good ones left. I voted for Down Under to go this time.

I'd definitely be up for a disco theme one day as it's not a genre I'm that well-versed with and would be easy to find a submission for. Failing that it could easily get wheeled over to the Best Song Contest In The World Ever!

Transformations again.

Down Under seems like the most challenging one to me (so far) if that becomes the theme.

Probably industrial, could end up being pretty similar to the 'Dark' theme, although I like the sound of it.

But the other four sound great to me too.

I love the Australian music scene <3 so can't vote that (it wasn't my theme idea, I forgot to submit in time!) But do get why others wouldn't be keen.

Original Electronica was me oops, but I do actually think some of these theme ideas are sounding better so am happy to concede x

...but still going the other Electronica theme :kink:

how is it that I've voted for Industrial most of these rounds and it's still here? do y'all want me to suffer? :drama:

as it’s about to go out I’ll put my hands up as suggesting Down Under

still reckon it would be worth a try in the future as there’s a fair amount of dance and electronic acts coming out of Australia and we’d already done an Asia and Africa contest.

It's definitely worth saying that anything voted out can and more than likely will be future themes being used if the host wants them. Hopefully it's given people an idea of what is possible without the need for recycling too much.

Things are a little different this time and Rollo has been a great sport in agreeing to go with the theme that wins this especially when he wanted Disco. Maybe a kind soul will do Disco for 26
