Posted October 6, 20231 yr New music is coming on Monday! Sounds like they're getting synthy again. @1710194513749184792
October 8, 20231 yr Lol @ that sketch! I'm always excited about new Blossoms and it sounds good from the preview, though I'm surprised they're going synthy again.
October 9, 20231 yr Author Scrap that. It’s titled ‘To Do List (After The Breakup), features someone called Findlay, and will get a first play on Radio 1 tonight!
October 9, 20231 yr Can't say it's grabbed me on first listen  but it took me ages to get into 'Care For' so I'll give it time.
October 10, 20231 yr Author Oh this was very instant for me! It seems that they're independent now. Possibly self-releasing, their label is 'ODD SK Recordings' which I can't find much about.
October 12, 20231 yr Author Will that mean R1 will likely no longer support them? They debuted the song on Future Sounds, so I suspect they will!
October 17, 20231 yr Yeh just listened to that show on Sounds today actually, let’s hope so. Prob just C-C-C out like most independent artists!
October 17, 20231 yr Author Yeh just listened to that show on Sounds today actually, let’s hope so. Prob just C-C-C out like most independent artists! The Snuts made it to the B-list earlier this year with ‘Gloria’, so you never know!
November 3, 20231 yr Author A big Manchester show was announced yesterday with some great support acts, and they've confirmed that their fifth album will release next summer! @1719995006658789578
April 27, 20241 yr Author Blossoms have posted a teaser of a single from their upcoming fifth album, and they're going in quite a funky direction! @1783754824548290699
April 27, 20241 yr A different direction is promising. As much as I like Blossoms they’ve kinda become quite… consistent with their output  Once you’ve heard one album you’ve heard them all :P
April 27, 20241 yr Author A different direction is promising. As much as I like Blossoms they’ve kinda become quite… consistent with their output  Once you’ve heard one album you’ve heard them all :P I think that's true of their first 3 albums to an extent (although the third was a bit more disco), but 'Ribbon Around the Bomb' was also quite a big change from their early synth stuff.
April 28, 20241 yr Author It's titled 'What Can I Say (After I'm Sorry)', and it's out on Wednesday! @1784638077886988525
April 30, 20241 yr Author and it'll be Radio 1's Hottest Record on Wednesday! Good to see continued support for them, they've been around about a decade now so you never know when that will stop.
April 30, 20241 yr Yeah, continued support is great but it's still quite limited, R1 haven't playlisted them since 'Care For' in 2021 and I can't see them returning to daytime support. Looking forward to hearing their new stuff anyhow, Ribbon was a pretty good album so I've got high expectations for this one.

Interesting… I guess it matches when they changed their sound, they're a bit more Radio now I think (sound wise). They’re also independent now, which makes them even less likely to get good Radio 1 support.
May 1, 20241 yr Author Here it is. This is apparently one of several songs they've worked on with Jungle! You can certainly hear their influence, and I think it works very well. n75ftaRT8RA
