How many sales will Kylie 35 year Anniversary Edition get in week 1?

 

Currently we have Pink Vinyl and Baby Blue Vinyl. With anything else appear?

 

Released on 24th November, been on pre-order a while from her store, Amazon, HMV etc

 

 

I think it has a shot at 3,000 and a top 15

 

If a special download or CD/Cassette comes available too then could be 5000+ and top 10

Top 30 with in or around 3k sales.

Ignore my votes - 4,000 top 20. I got very confused because I was originally thinking 4,000 top 20. But then I saw that last weeks top 30 all sold more than 10,000 which just seemed wrong, but I voted top 30, 10,000 anyway. Then I realised that I was looking at the singles chart. Oops!

 

I think just over 2000 fans will buy it - and most will buy both copies.

 

What do we have to compare it with?

 

In November 2022, Impossible Princess reached 5.

In December 2022, Kylie Christmas reached 86.

In October 2021, Fever reached 23.

Prior to that, her chart positions owing to vinyl releases were much lower - but I don’t know the background to any of these releases.

 

I feel that more people buy vinyl these days, so it will peak higher than Fever, but the situation behind Impossible Princess was unique in many ways, pushing it higher.

 

I guess one indicator is the 4000 fans buying the numbered editions of Tension. Maybe it could exceed that and go too 15 - or even reach 8,000 and border on the top 5!

The I Should Be So Lucky Musical is out around that time too and An Audience with is filmed the week after.

 

I wonder how many streaming sales it can get? 50?

I'd love that to hapoen for let's get to it and get a new top 10 peak as it would mean all her studio albums apart from kylie christmas would have top 10 peaks.

3000 and top 25.

It's crazy that this album is 35 years old, it will always hold a special place with me as it was my first album I got as a present and I remember been like wow look how many kylie songs are on it plus I loved most of the songs when I first played it.

 

3k+ and top 30

Only a 2 week gap with this release and Tension Extension.

With Body Language vinyl also coming fans will need a Kylie fund separate to Christmas.

Can’t wait for this release - it’s nothing new but I’m so pleased it’s getting another re-issue.

 

As for BL will be interesting if the rumoured re-issue actually happens.

I am excited for the debut reissue but less so for Body Language.

Just over 2 weeks to go for this and Golden Discs where i buy a lot of my music from here in Ireland are also stocking it which is great, makes it easier for me to get.

I ‘think’ that because it’s released on a different label it will be classed as a new entry rather than re-entry, that’s why the Cherry Red re-issues charted as new entries (Kylie Minogue #85, Enjoy Yourself #94 and ROL #96), along with the BMG re-issues of KM94 (#67) and IP (#5).

When they are classed as new entries it really adds to her number of albums to make the top 100 but as separate entities they look like flops apart from IP.

Don't forget to stream the album lots too from the 24th and grab a few all important extra sales for the chart position.
