Well, there's no Junior Eurovision 2023 thread here but I would like to say I'm in love with the Spanish entry from Sandra Valero. She needs to win this Sunday. :P

It's way less strong than last year but still a couple of solid entries for Spain. I'm a bit disappointed for Maria Pelae though as she had much better stuff before.

Just watched the first semifinal and this is a pretty weak year imo, there's no SloMo/EAEA/Nochentera here. Nebulossa and Angy (Hayley Williams assemble your legal team!) are clear standouts though, the latter would be a great entry but I feel Zorra will fall flat without context.

Also, not Mantra somehow winning the public vote but still getting eliminated

Angy ate all competitors. Obviously Zorra is going to be the streaming hit of the year coming out of Benidorm a la Nochentera last year.

 

Wishing the best for st. Pedro and Almacor on Thursday.

I think this is the strongest final Benidorm Fest has had. So many different candidates with possibilities to win, everything will depend on their live performance tomorrow night.

I find last year a lot stronger but this year is not bad at all!

María Peláe is vocally impressive :o :o Hope she comes back with a better song in the future x

Hoping for an Angy win tonight! Nebulossa's song is great but I have a feeling it won't translate well at Eurovision.

 

María is a bit unlucky the year after EAEA but a decent song. I want to like St. Pedro because he seems to be the favourite but I just can't get into it! Nice as background music but that's it. Still him and Jorge make for pretty good viewing I can't lie :kink:

I now see why st. Pedro is so popular with the fans! He has a really good voice and the song itself stands out a massive ton too x

Sé quién soy is pretty good but the non-rock parts do fall a bit flat. The overall performance is decent tho x

Angy ATE, get her to Malmö!

 

Jorge is kinda giving Agoney 2.0, the song itself is eh but I'm happy to watch this performance as many times as necessary 👀

Jorge definitely has the strongest performance of the night by far, though the dance break felt a bit off :cheer: :cheer:
