Ooh!

Back from an amazing weekend in Glasgow!

I had tickets for the original show (Saturday) to see it with a friend. I was not disappointed! My friend was also seeing it with a different friend yesterday, so I managed to grab myself a cheapish resale ticket in the gods to see it a second time!

Was a strange experience, watching it on my own... But I loved it just as much!

Just wish I could see it more! I really hope they tour again, but understand if it's alot for them. Will see!

I got irrationally furious at everyone leaving to grab drinks etc during Girl Overboard/Graffiti My Soul/On the Metro... But their loss, I guess (and it meant most of them missed the songs that followed) - I can understand if people aren't able to go the whole show, so need to pick their moment of course, but I heard people say "don't know this, let's grab a drink".

I was pretty much the only one up and dancing in my block, on my second night, during Girl Overboard... But I didn't really mind if I blocked anyone's view that was sitting, as they were perfectly fine standing during the songs they cared about. Dunno if that's a bad attitude to have on my part though? Noone said anything thankfully!

There is a leaked “copy” of the setlist from Dublin that shows Long Hot Summer as being the “rotating” song. Other songs in this place include Life Got Cold, Memory of You and Real Life!

I'm glad that you had such a great time seeing them in Glasgow!

I'm also quite put out by how the audience essentially becomes :nocheer: from the first notes of a song they don't know, and promptly go for drinks etc. :drama: I suppose it's predictable that it's during those three songs, but I'm interested that it doesn't seem to happen during any single, not even the ones I'd assume are lesser known by a general audience. I wish more casuals cared to experience a "new" song, and maybe take away from it that they love it?

Obviously everyone goes to a show to get what they want out of it, but I don't really understand the hyperfocus a lot of people seem to have with alcohol at concerts... I know there were people around me who really couldn't have really been able to take in properly what was happening on stage towards the end, because they were getting quite drunk. When the tickets are so expensive, it surprises me that so many people prioritise paying even more to get drunk there, so they won't even properly watch what they've paid to see.

By the way re: the O2 priority show at Shepherds Bush, people can now enter to be in the ballot:

Also a cover of 4 Non Blondes - What's Up (apparently a favourite song of Sarah's)!

Kind of glad they stuck with Long Hot Summer so it gets the moment it deserves. I wonder if any of those above songs could make an appearance at the intimate show?

I saw them last night for the very first time in Glasgow. I absolutely loved it. They all looked like they were having a ball, more so Cheryl and Nadine. It was lovely seeing them genuinely getting on. So many highlights but Untouchable, Girl Overboard, Jump, Whole Lotta History and my personal fav Something New were excellent. Kimberley didn’t ooze the same enthusiasm throughout. It was a shame The Loving Kind wasn’t included, there definitely was space for a few more songs.

Honestly such a good show! Definitely think it topped Ten for me!

I know, right! Why spend 100 quid on tickets (first night I was much closer, and there was someone hammered next to me), only to basically not be present for it?

I like a drink or two... But as soon as the show starts, I'm not going anywhere! If I want to drink, I can do that after!

Ooooh. Entered!

Wish I could do some more shows!

Oh yes! How did I forget that?

I’d love to see Life Got Cold at one of my dates! It won’t happen but I’d honestly love it!

I had such a great time at my second show, Nottingham on 13th June! My seats were Block A Row 6, but my friend and I managed to get wristbands from a security man for us to be allowed at the barrier! I was bit to the left of the centre of the stage, and it was a fantastic view! So great to experience the show up close.

I enjoyed the show even more on this occasion  The set list really is all killer no filler for me.

I also managed to get a signed print!

One more to go for me, 18th June in Birmingham. :cheer:

That is amazing :) :) which signed print was it the one where they wear black or pink/red?
I still haven't been yet not until the 18th lol

It was the black dresses one, which is my least favourite of the three they're doing ( :kink: ) but nevertheless it's still a lovely picture / memento

Just 3 days to go :w00t:

I didn’t know the was 3 . Tomorrow the big day :cheer:
Tomorrow finally for me too! I’ve got fourth row right next to the stage so I’m hoping I get a wristband.. might just go barrier anyway :kink:

Very excited for tomorrow, I hope you all have a fantastic time too! :cheer:

Nicola did a Q&A on her Instagram, mostly related to the tour and Girls Aloud in general so I've written up the questions/answers here (but left off a few that are unrelated)

What GA song is always in your head? 😘

Nicola: Girl Overboard 🌊

It's so interesting noticing your voice change from the tour in 2009 - always a 10/10 singer 😍

Thanks so much. You know, when I did The Masked Singer I was able to hear it properly singing full songs live and I learnt a lot about what I needed to improve on and what it takes, to get it to a stronger place. Singing is the most important thing to me and how I can be better. X

What's the one home comfort you have to take on the road with you?

Nicola: I take my own pillow with me everywhere. There's nothing worse than a super hard pillow in a strange bed when your neck is already hanging off from the hairography

How excited are you for Liverpool at the end of the month, queen? 💖💖💖

Nicola: It's going to be overwhelming. We've been working on the show for so long. The artwork, visuals, staging. Getting it up and running and seeing you all be happy with our decisions. It will be so emotional for this show to come to an end. Plus all my friends and family will be there 💖

What was Sarah's favourite song to perform on tour? 🕊️

Nicola: I know she would have loved Wake Me Up, No Good Advice, Graffiti My Soul... all the rockier edged ones 💖

Whose idea was it to bring back Long Hot Summer?

Nicola: We saw you guys talking about it on X. We only gave it choreography 2 days before our technical rehearsals started but it's actually now one of our faves to do!

How did you come to the decision for Girl Overboard/Graffiti My Soul/On the Metro for the tour?

Nicola: They're our personal faves

Can you see people in the pit or is the lighting too bright?

Nicola: We see you all as clear as day. It's honestly THE BEST! The GA t shirts, the sparkly jackets & posters. Some of you do your make up better than we can!

Loved seeing the love and support between you and the girls on tour. Sisterhood 💖

Nicola: 💖💖💖💖💖 It really does feel very special

What part of the show makes you feel Sarah the most?

Nicola: I absolutely love her voice on her solo version of Stand by You which we play out. I wish she sang more of our released version. It suits her perfectly. And I am floored by her beauty in The Promise and Whole Lotta History visuals. She looks like a super model 🌹

What goes through your head when you're on the motorbikes?

Nicola: This should feel a lot stranger to me than it does...

What's your snack of choice when you're on the road?

Nicola: The joy in my heart when catering found me vegan @galaxyuk 🤎

Yours and Nadine's sing off in Something Kinda Ooooh is incredible 🤍

Nicola: We don't call it a sing off. I love getting to let loose a bit with my girl 💖

Favourite song you wrote?

Nicola: Either Girls Aloud 'On the Metro' or my song 'Sticks & Stones'. But I'd like to re record it. x

Honestly Nicola's vocals were incredible at my show, she was rivalling Nadine! (Except for a terrible moment in Wake me up when it turned into a bit of a scream loool).
