2024 will soon arrive and the upcoming Christmas charts will be replaced with a new era of hits, but who will have the greatest successes of the year? Given that Dua Lipa has already launched her new era I’ve opted to omit her from this poll but I’m sure she will have a great 2024 and maybe another big hit or two.

 

I have limited the polls to 40 artists and included popular names, unpopular names, BuzzJack faves and a few wildcards from Little Mix.

Taylor still has Self Titled & Reputation TV to go, no? I think one of those will get released in the next 6-7 months

 

(ideally Suburban Legends gets promoted as the next single off of 1989 TV before she drops another re-release)

 

I’m predicting she does reputation tv in either early 2024 jan/feb time, or late in the year like October / November. If she goes with early release then I reckon self titled in July, if she goes with a late release for rep then self titled in spring a la fearless. I think with the eras tour going on for the whole year she’ll stay on top of her game and on top of the charts all year

I actually wouldn’t rule out Taylor dropping her 11th album next year, she’s often been like clockwork with a new one roughly every two years.

 

I feel like next year might see a few big names return after a long absence, there’s quite a few that are rumoured to be recording. Given we seem to be in an era of comebacks I think there will be a couple of surprise success stories next year. I’m going to stick my neck out and say Rihanna might finally return and potentially be huge.

Aside from Taylor I'm guessing that Bruno, Bilie, Ari & Gags would be the biggest names to most likely to come back next year. I expect Eminem to also maybe drop a new project but I think It could be his most weakest commercially to date.

 

I would also really love to see all of the artists mentioned come back next year as well as Coldplay, Rihanna, Lil Nas X, The 1975, The Weeknd, Lana and Beyoncé although I feel like most of those ones probably won't drop significant new material next year.

 

Respectfully, I would not like to see a new era from Anne-Marie :D. Funnily enough I would not be opposed to another album from Ed. '-' and 'Autum Variations' are my favourite albums from him since '+'.

My money's on Tate McRae in all honesty, she seems to be setting herself up as the next big thing.

I would also really love to see all of the artists mentioned come back next year as well as Coldplay, Rihanna, Lil Nas X, The 1975, The Weeknd, Lana and Beyoncé although I feel like most of those ones probably won't drop significant new material next year.

A new Coldplay album is confirmed! ‘Moon Music’ is due to be released sometime in the Spring. It sounds like The 1975 are having an off-year past their January UK tour though.

I hope for Bruno Mars comeback. Too long since the last solo album.

Not expecting huge things from any of the Little Mix ladies at this point, but would happily see it.

 

After relatively muted eras last time around, I’m not expecting huge things from the likes of Billie Eilish and Stormzy; whenever they release next. Bruno Mars is an interesting one though, and could do well depending on the material. I really liked the Charlie album, and wished that had been bigger for Charlie Puth.

Interesting that more people think Jade will be bigger than Perrie. Jade is my bias in LM, but I really think Perrie seems to have the solo hype, label backing and promo. I can see Jade being similarly successful to people like Charli/Carly/Tove Lo/Robyn… maybe with more top 40 hits though? Idk.

 

First poll I voted for Billie, Harry & (optimistically) Perrie. Everyone else I don’t think is guaranteed and I can’t see Adele touching her levels again (maybe Im wrong though) she absolutely won’t flop but will under perform by her standards.

Is greedy already her biggest hit to date, in terms of sales/downloads? It feels like it has taken off more so than you broke me first or she’s all i wanna be? I could be wrong it just felt more instant and impactful.

I think she only has started to really come into her own - "exes" seems to be doing well and two other songs that are on her album are going viral
