December 27, 20231 yr G'won Winifreds Choir *.* 'Saviour's Day' I'm quite the fan of the most from that batch!
December 27, 20231 yr Author Now we are reaching the Top 40 Christmas songs, and here are the first 5 to be revealed; 36. 1982 | RENÉE AND RENATO – SAVE YOUR LOVE (43 Points / 3 Votes) 37. 2005 | SHAYNE WARD – THAT'S MY GOAL (34 Points / 7 Votes) 38. 1962 | ELVIS PRESLEY – RETURN TO SENDER (33 Points / 4 Votes) 39. 1976 | JOHNNY MATHIS – WHEN A CHILD IS BORN (SOLEADO) (30 Points / 5 Votes) 40. 2004 | BAND AID 20 – DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS? (27 Points / 5 Votes) gWSfBggWBek From this batch we have another X Factor winner, the king of rock and roll and another official Band Aid single, released to mark the 20th anniversary of the original single. Renée and Renato were a female/male vocal duo. Shayne Ward rose to fame as the winner of the second series of The X Factor. A classic Christmas song When a Child Is Born was released by Johnny Mathis in 1976.
December 27, 20231 yr Still not lost any of my votes yet. 'When We Collide' is the only XF Christmas #1 that I'd say I like (Shayne and Leona are both decent too) but was still not in contention for points. Glad Band Aid 20 at least beat the awful Band Aid II, though the original is still the best version ofc. St. Winifred's kind of ikonek.
December 27, 20231 yr Love the Johnny Mathis cover of 'When A Child Is Born'. Happy to see Band Aid 20 over the 89 version and 'That's My Goal' is decent too. Very nostalgic as it was the first X Factor I watched!
December 27, 20231 yr I do like Band Aid 20 much much more than the other 2 covers. I think the production was quite well thought out and I do enjoy the Dizzee rap!
December 27, 20231 yr Author 31-35 is up next, and here they are; 31. 2006 | LEONA LEWIS – A MOMENT LIKE THIS (54 Points / 6 Votes) 32. 2017 | ED SHEERAN – PERFECT (52 Points / 7 Votes) 33. 1974 | MUD – LONELY THIS CHRISTMAS (49 Points / 9 Votes) 34. 1988 | CLIFF RICHARD – MISTLETOE AND WINE (44 Points / 7 Votes) 35. 1977 | WINGS – MULL OF KINTYRE/GIRLS' SCHOOL (44 Points / 6 Votes) rZCEBibnRM8 Once again we have an X Factor winner, an English glam rock band and one of the most prominent names in music of the 21st century. There is also the highest peaking Cliff Richard song from this list, and he released many festive singles around Christmastime. Mistletoe And Wine was one of his many UK #1 singles.
December 27, 20231 yr 'Mistletoe & Wine' is easily Cliff's best Christmas single  Am rather a fan of 'Mull of Kintyre' as well. Mud has gone off for me over the years oops. Much prefer their more upbeat songs and whilst I don't hate 'Perfect' I do find it very sappy. Not really was crazy about Leona's version of 'A Moment Like This' either lol.
December 27, 20231 yr Mud is the first of my votes to drop. There aren’t many great Christmas ballads and I still enjoy that one very much.
December 27, 20231 yr Author We are getting closer to the Top 20, but first we need to look at what missed out, starting with 26-30; 26. 1991 | QUEEN – BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY/THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES (64 Points / 7 Votes) 27. 1986 | JACKIE WILSON – REET PETITE (57 Points / 11 Votes) 28. 1964 | THE BEATLES – I FEEL FINE (57 Points / 9 Votes) 29. 1993 | MR BLOBBY – MR BLOBBY (56 Points / 7 Votes) 30. 2000 | BOB THE BUILDER – CAN WE FIX IT? (55 Points / 11 Votes) rNkgDJpcuwU Sorry Jade, but Mr Blobby was not able to crack the Top 20 here, but it does finish inside the Top 30. The Beatles also make their first appearance of the evening with I Feel Fine. Another childhood creation, Bob The Builder, is also in this batch as the first Christmas #1 of this millennium. Queen also appear here for the first time this evening, with the same song, but this was a double A side from 1991. Almost three years after Jackie Wilson's death, his famous 50's hit single Reet Petite reached #1 for Christmas in 1986.
December 27, 20231 yr Oof at Queen missing top 20! Gotta love how Mr Blobby and Bob The Builder finish side by side :cheeseblock:

December 27, 20231 yr Happy with no X Factor in the top 20. Mr Blobby beating Bob The Builder as a result of my 1 point *.*
December 27, 20231 yr Rrrrrrrrreet petite is a big favourite of mine - that definitely deserved its 80s revivial! I also have very fond memories of the 1991 Bo Rhap / These Are The Days double A which my mum had on cassette when I was little.
