I know Alexandra Burke won’t win or even get top 10, I’m just hoping it gets a good placing in the 20-11 section.

To begin with, we have some nil pointers to reveal, and so here they are, nobody wanted to give any points to these ones.

1952 | AL MARTINO – HERE IN MY HEART (0 Points)

1953 | FRANKIE LAINE – ANSWER ME (0 Points)

1958 | CONWAY TWITTY – IT'S ONLY MAKE BELIEVE (0 Points)

2019 | LADBABY – I LOVE SAUSAGE ROLLS (0 Points)

2020 | LADBABY – DON'T STOP ME EATIN' (0 Points)

2022 | LADBABY – FOOD AID (0 Points)

This leaves 66 songs to rank, so let's begin with 61-66 next.

Here are the first batch of songs that were voted for, the least amount of points given;

61. 2012 | THE JUSTICE COLLECTIVE – HE AIN'T HEAVY, HE'S MY BROTHER (4 Points / 1 Vote)

62. 2013 | SAM BAILEY – SKYSCRAPER (4 Points / 1 Vote)

63. 1959 | EMILE FORD & THE CHECKMATES – WHAT DO YOU WANT TO MAKE THOSE EYES AT ME FOR? (3 Points / 2 Votes)

64. 1971 | BENNY HILL – ERNIE (THE FASTEST MILKMAN IN THE WEST) (3 Points / 1 Vote)

65. 1972 | JIMMY OSMOND – LONG HAIRED LOVER FROM LIVERPOOL (2 Points / 2 Votes)

66. 2015 | THE LEWISHAM & GREENWICH NHS CHOIR – A BRIDGE OVER YOU (1 Point / 1 Vote)

In this section we have an X Factor Winner, an English comedian and a couple of 21st century charity singles too. Sam Bailey won the tenth series of The X Factor in 2013, and earned the Christmas #1 but failed to achieve any other chart hits after this one.

What Do You Want To Make Those Eyes At Me For does NOT deserve to be at the very bottom end with that other crap! :(

Oops one of my votes is out already albeit just a 1 pointer - 'What Do You Want To Make Those Eyes At Me For?'. It's my least favourite #1 with Joe Meek involved on production ('Johnny Remember Me', 'Telstar' and 'Have I The Right?' is such a holy trinity of 60s #1s) but still a good'un and the only 50s song that made my votes in the end.

Oops poor Emile! That’s a bit of a fail - I didn’t vote for any of the 50s ones myself though so can’t complain I guess.

Ernie is quite good fun as well.

We will now reveal another five songs with a low vote count, and here they are;

56. 1961 | DANNY WILLIAMS – MOON RIVER (6 Points / 3 Votes)

57. 1957 | HARRY BELAFONTE – MARY'S BOY CHILD (6 Points / 2 Votes)

58. 1970 | DAVE EDMUNDS – I HEAR YOU KNOCKING (5 Points / 1 Vote)

59. 1955 | DICKIE VALENTINE – CHRISTMAS ALPHABET (4 Points / 1 Vote)

60. 1956 | JOHNNIE RAY – JUST WALKIN' IN THE RAIN (4 Points / 1 Vote)

Some older songs in this section, nothing from the 21st century this time. We have five male singers in this mix, South African, American, Welsh and English, and as of 2023, all sadly no longer alive. Perhaps these recordings are less remembered than others in this list, but at least they were remembered enough to score some points.

I was the only one to give Dave Edmunds any points?! Shame on you, BuzzJack. :P I see my 4 pointer is out now too, 'Moon River' is lovely.
Surprisingly low for Moon River. Belafonte’s Mary’s Boy Child is really good though slightly prefer the Boney M mash up. Johnnie is my fave of the bunch though - glad he got some votes. :wub:

Now we reveal the five songs that missed out on the Top 50, and yes Jester, LadBaby is one of those names;

51. 2021 | LADBABY FT. ED SHEERAN & ELTON JOHN – SAUSAGE ROLLS FOR EVERYONE (10 Points / 2 Votes)

52. 2007 | LEON JACKSON – WHEN YOU BELIEVE (8 Points / 3 Votes)

53. 2014 | BEN HAENOW – SOMETHING I NEED (8 Points / 1 Vote)

54. 2011 | MILITARY WIVES WITH GARETH MALONE – WHEREVER YOU ARE (7 Points / 2 Votes)

55. 1954 | WINIFRED ATWELL – LET'S HAVE ANOTHER PARTY (7 Points / 1 Vote)

A lot more recent hits in this section, including two X Factor Winners, a sausage roll cover song and a Trinidadian who enjoyed many hits in the 1950's. Leon Jackson won the fourth series of The X Factor and Ben Haenow won the eleventh series. Military Wives are a registered charity and network of 75 choirs in British military bases across the UK and overseas, bringing women in the military community closer together through singing.

I think I do remember enjoying the Emile Ford & The Checkmates song at the #1s listenthroughs (certainly more than most of the 50s songs on this list) but hasn't really stuck with me oops! 'Moon River' is the biggest loss so far aw, that one is really nice and very nearly got a point from me.

Surprised there were as few as 6 songs that got 0 points here :P would have thought at least a couple of the X Factor songs would be down there too. Who voted for Leon Jackson?! (edit: 3 different people apparently... *_*)

Poor brave Winifred as well x

I know it has its fans here (Rich) but I really cannot abide the Military Wives thing

'Wherever You Are' is really nice and finishing below Ladbaby.. I do quite like a couple of the X Factor singles, well at the time I did anyway. Both versions of 'Mary's Boy Child' are nice as well but of course the better one rightfully higher not that that wasn't in doubt!

So we now arrive at the Top 50, and we kick things off with positions 46-50;

46. 2018 | LADBABY – WE BUILT THIS CITY (13 Points / 3 Votes)

47. 1969 | ROLF HARRIS – TWO LITTLE BOYS (12 Points / 1 Vote)

48. 1960 | CLIFF RICHARD & THE SHADOWS – I LOVE YOU (11 Points / 2 Votes)

49. 1966 | TOM JONES – GREEN, GREEN GRASS OF HOME (11 Points / 1 Vote)

50. 2010 | MATT CARDLE – WHEN WE COLLIDE (10 Points / 3 Votes)

Here we have another LadBaby song, the first one which started his 5 year Christmas #1 record in 2018. Also Cliff Richard makes his first appearance of the evening with The Shadows. We also reveal yet another X Factor winner, this time Matt Cardle, who won the seventh series. Tom Jones only had 3 UK #1s in his career, and this one was the second of those.

Sheesh I didn't expect Rolf to be far up here at all :ph34r:

I don’t mind 'When We Collide' but never been that big a fan either!

We Built This City is the least awful Ladbaby but I’m still surprised anyone genuinely thinks they’re among the best 15 Christmas #1s.

Nothing I especially care for in those last couple of batches - Winifred probably the best.

And Matt Cardle is the least terrible of the X Factor winning singles for me, but not surprised Buzzjack prefers Leona and Alexandra of course.

More songs now, these 5 missed out on a place inside the Top 40;

41. 1980 | ST WINIFRED'S SCHOOL CHOIR – THERE'S NO ONE QUITE LIKE GRANDMA (19 Points / 2 Votes)

42. 1990 | CLIFF RICHARD – SAVIOUR'S DAY (18 Points / 3 Votes)

43. 1989 | BAND AID II – DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS? (18 Points / 2 Votes)

44. 1999 | WESTLIFE – I HAVE A DREAM/SEASONS IN THE SUN (15 Points / 3 Votes)

45. 1968 | THE SCAFFOLD – LILY THE PINK (14 Points / 2 Votes)

Here we see a mix of songs from the 20th century. Irish boyband Westlife featured with a cover of an ABBA song and Terry Jacks respectively. Once again we see Cliff Richard make an appearance and we see the first of three official Band Aid released, this one from 1989. St Winifred's School Choir were a Roman Catholic Primary School Choir in Stockport, Greater Manchester. The song was written for the 80th birthday of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother in 1980 by record producer Gordon Lorenz and sold one million copies, most of them Christmas presents from grandchildren.
