Posted December 28, 20231 yr 24th December 2023 It's a new number one as Lufthaus rise 8 to claim a first Immortal chart-topper, assisted by Sophie Ellis-Bextor who outdoes her previous 2023 top 10 and grabs her 5th number one in almost 24 years, and Robbie Williams, who's on his 18th chart-topper including Take That tracks dating back 30 years. It's also his 15th solo pole-placer in 25 years and his first of this decade after a 7-year gap back to When You Know, giving him a 4th decade of new chart-toppers, matching the likes of Kylie and Madonna. Dua Lipa's on her 13th top 10 track, and Bucks Fizz lead a batch of Christmas-related oldies returning, The Land Of Make Believe topping my chart in early 1982, taking over from Abba's One Of Us - which is lower down this week's chart. Showaddywaddy haven't troubled my charts in 40 years, but they did have a great forgotten christmas hit in 1974 which Radio 2 have been playing so that returns for the first time ever at 59 - Hey Mr Christmas. It was banging. It's good to see Prada doing well for you. I found this to be so underrated on Buzzjack which was a shame. Fab chart, have a great new year! ^_^
