The TV audience for Luke Humphries' victory over teenager Luke Littler peaked at 3.71 million, making the PDC World Championship final Sky Sports' biggest non-football peak audience.

In total 4.8 m people watched Wednesday's 2024 final - Sky's highest figure for a darts event.

Its previous darts record was 16-year-old Littler's semi-final against Rob Cross which gained a peak of 2.32m.

Britain's Got Talent won the night with 4.10m, then 1% Club with 3.58m, then late ITV News with 2.21m. Doctor Who fourth most watched of the day (most watched for BBC). But with Doctor Who comparisons with previous series overnights are unfair because of the early iPlayer drop

From Liam Hamilton on X

Two hours of #ColdplayGlastonbury - including a surprise appearance on guitar by actor & campaigner Michael J Fox - attracted an average of 2.5million viewers from 10pm on BBC1, peak audience of 3.1m

The football this afternoon should easily be the biggest rating of the year so far. Especially the peak. Knockout stages are usually where the figures start sky-rocketing especially with it being a Sunday.
