"Birds Of A Feather" becomes the second number 1 for Billie Eilish in 2024 after "Lunch". It makes a remarkable climb to the top in its SEVENTEETH week in the chart! I'm not completely certain what the longest climb to number 1 is - it could have been achieved by "Enemy" by Imagine Dragons in its nineteenth week in the chart but I missed that particular edition of the chart...

MTV Europe broadcast a special edition of the chart - for the whole year 2024! This was something usual in the past but there was no such edition in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The strangest inclusion this time is "Praise Jah In The Moonlight" by YG Marley - it hasn't appeared in the chart at all during the year!?...

Just like last year, in 2024 there were only 2 songs which spent a second (nonconsecutive) week at number 1 - "Lovin' On Me" by Jack Harlow and "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter. However, the first week of "Lovin' On Me" at the top happened in 2023. So this year there was only ONE song - "Espresso" - which managed to be at the top for 2 weeks.

Yes, EVERY SINGLE other chart-topper in 2024 enjoyed merely one week at number 1!

For the chart of January 4, 2025, MTV Europe didn't play a new edition of the chart. Instead, they repeated the chart of December 28, 2024!
