Dua Lipa team will be going all out for number 1, hence why they delayed the release by 3 weeks as there was no chance of beating Noah on SRC. There was no other reason to delay it when announcing it 3 weeks ago and with a Grammy performance.

They are basically giving away the physicals too, 3 formats for less than £7.

They aren’t fre shipping like Houdini ones were though, my cd was almost a fiver with shipping costs

oh forgot to post Beyonce-Texas Hold'em was added straight to Hot Hits (ka-ching!!) super high, track #10

Alibi is track #1 on HH now and they also moved Kygo/Ava up I think.

Ed, that's a bit early to start the last anti-Dua campaign, and especially critizise her for the prices when Ed Sheeran was the king of 99p+free shipping, to the point the OCC has to change the rules

at least wait until you hear Dua's song

I talked to some of hardcore Bey stans about the new songs and the reaction is mixed. They are probably even more US centric hits than her songs usually are.

I disagree because some would say stick season is US centric but it worked here

Let him start Kath has started already

Yeah but something like Stick Season seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

Obviously time will tell with the Bey tracks. But Country songs rarely do well in the UK (i'm sure someone is ready with a list of exceptions though to prove me wrong )

I don't agree that 'Stick Season' is a US centric song, a good handful of similar songs have been big in the UK before albeit not for a little while (Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, Of Monsters And Men). He's only tangentially adjacent to the country scene.

'TEXAS HOLD 'EM' now up to #10 on Apple, '16 CARRIAGES' at #23. Kanye & Ty's top 3 songs on Apple are now at #8, #13 and #16.

The third highest Kanye song on Apple ('STARS') is one of a few on the album that's co-produced by JPEGMAFIA - his involvement with this project has been very controversial to say the least among his fanbase but I'm lying if I say I wouldn't be quite happy to see him having production credits on a top 100 hit regardless of the circumstances... (although I doubt it will be anyway as it's only the 4th highest on Spotify and has gained slower than a few others on Apple, it just started high because it's track 1 on the album).

Well it’s a folky song about a season they have in New England so it’s US centric to a heavy degree. Beyoncé has released a lot of rubbish but these two songs are very good maybe not every stan who wants a more aggressive type feel will embrace it but it’s her best stuff in awhile and I’ll be surprised if they dont do very well in the UK

They will be free shipping come release week when the extra sales are needed.

Spotify:

:ne: 4. Beyonce - TEXAS HOLD 'EM

:ne: 35. Beyonce - 16 CARRIAGES

Usher:

67. YEAH! (feat. Lil Jon & Ludacris)

147. My Boo (with Alicia Keys)

170. DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love (feat. Pitbull)

He didn't even perform 'DJ' :P

Also a new entry from Stranger Things' Joe Keery with 'End of Beginning' at #191.

Well you had to search for it. If you went to Beyoncé page all it showed was Texas. Unless you specifically typed in 16 carriages you wouldn’t find it. I saw a lot of people thinking it wasn’t on Spotify.

Anyway Benson looking real good. It’s def between him and Dua I think Teddy is going to fall away

Not gonna lie I was hoping for a little higher from Beyoncé, can’t see her making top 10 this week now

Or you have to go to her singles and then it's listed

Dua’s team pushing her single back by 3 weeks only for Beyoncé to drop a surprise release :cheeseblock:
If Dua is eager for Training Season to go #1 and she’s performing at the BRITs, then it would make sense for her to perform that instead of Houdini or she could do a medley of both
