The Showgirl Homecoming tour is underway in the UK with Kylie's performances seemingly outdoing themselves night by night. Details of the TV broadcast have also been announced.

First off, for those who haven't been fortunate enough to make it to the gigs, and those who just want to relive the experience, the entire show is now scheduled for broadcast on Channel 4 on Saturday 13th December, starting at 10.10pm. E4 will broadcast it again shortly afterwards (date and time tbc), followed by the usual various repeats over coming months.

The Homecoming CD is out on Monday in the UK, and features tracks recorded on the Australian leg on the tour. We notice that no specific gig date is given, so we are assuming that the album is a mixture of the best performances over a number of nights (at last! Kylie's live albums have in the past been recorded on a single night, and hence include some slightly shakey performances as expected)). The album was mixed at Abbey Road late November, and also features the version of Kids featuring Bono, recorded in Sydney. Unfortnuately, Australian fans will have to wait for the album, with it being released in February "at the earliest", and is the subject of a news article in today's Australian press, along with quotes from site members regarding prices of Kylie's tour merchandise. You can view the article here. New track 'White Diamond' is expected to go to radio as a promotional single, and the album is already at No.1 on many pre-release listings. Could a Kylie live album really make it to the top spot? Stay tuned next week to see.

The Homecoming New Year's Eve gig at Wembley went down a storm with fans, with Kylie adding Celebration to the setlist to see in the New Year. She looked to be having the time of her life, as did the 13,000 strong crowd, and received widespread media coverage in the process, making TV and press reports across the UK. The UK leg of the show is now underway - with celebrity guests a-plenty in attendance - playing Wembley until the 9th before moving on to Manchester's MEN from the 12th. We have heard whispers about further European dates being announced for the coming months, but we have no idea at this point whether there is any truth behind these. More news as we get it!
