Well i've just got my mits on this, and haven't listened to it, I got it after being really impressed with Fires, so does anyone have any suggestions on which tracks I should begin with?

 

If I hear a really naff track first it'll put me off the album, so I want to start with something good. :lol:

my fave track on it is alien :)

I love this album, although it is more of a grower than Fires. My fave tracks are Patience, Alien, Jump and Rainbow.

Alien is the stand-out track on the album.

 

But my second favourite track is "Watch Out Billie" - not only is it a brilliant tune, but the lyrics have now become hysterically inaccurate (all about becoming a burnt out has-been (pop-star) at 18, as opposed to becoming the hugely successful British actress from Swindon at 23.)

Patience, Rainbow & Jump are really good as well. The album has less variety than Fires though.

Is this actually about Billie? :o

I think Billie Piper is an amazing woman :wub: Sure her pop career wasn't up to much - but there was some pleasant cheese if you rumage through her back catalogue. She will be missed from Doctor Who - don't think I want to watch anymore of them now :(

 

Oh and this is about Nerina Pallot? :lol:

I haven't even got 'Fires' yet - I haven't really heard enough to be propelled into buying the CD and I do love her new song but I don't know - she sounds kinda samey to me.

Fires has lots of different sounding songs but like thisispop said, DFS is quite samey. A few of the songs sound almost identical.

I love this album, Fires is better though.

Has anyone heard Delerium - Truly? It has Nerina doing the vocals and it's quite a good dance tune but I mainly like it because of the Pallot ;)

I'm sure you've listened to it already by now but a good place to start is actually track one :wub: If I know you is a brilliant song (if a bit long) and Nerina still performs it at her concerts now unlike many of the other tracks from the first album

 

Other than that, Alien, Someday Soon and Blood is blood are all good

Personally 'My Last Tango' is the bet song on the album for me, it was fantastic when I saw Pallot at Harrods in september, and as gooddelta has already said you've probably already listened and judged this album, but it's fantastic, and hopefully you've given it a good listen.

I'm considering getting this one actually, Fires keeps on growing on me and I'm loving her at the moment. :o

One of the best albums I brought last year but Fires is much more superior!!
