In the run-up to her wedding to bodyguard Wayne Newton. Anastacia has been turning her mind to the all-inportant matter of the dress.

The gravel-voiced singer,Cicago-born singer was joined by her actress mum Diane Hurley and older sister Shawn, in Londonfrom the U, for a fitting at theJenny Packham Bride store in Belgravia.

Like any Bride-to-be, Anastacia would'nt be photographed in her gown, but clearly enjoyed supervising bridesmaid Shawn's fitting - a simple white dress with sequinned overlay. With design skills of her own - she recently set up her own fashion line, Anastacia by S.Oliver - she studied with interest the swatches of intrecate embroidery showed to her by Jenny Packham. who's dresses are popular with such celebrities as Nicole Kidman,Hallie Berry,Keira Knightley and Elizabeth Hurley. Jenny has also provided Glamorous gowns for two James Bond films and The Devil Wears Prada.

Anastacia's romance with her husband-to-be mirrors the hit filmThe bodyguard, in whichWgitney Houston's character falls for her minder,played by Kevin Costner. She had worked with Wayne, a martial arts expert from Beckenham, kent over the course of several tours. They became an item during her European concerts last year and he proposed six months ago.

"She fell for Wayne hook, line and sinker," says a friend. "He went down on bended knee and said he couldn't imagine a life where he wasn't protecting her. She said yes instantly. They are so much in love, it's unbelievable."

Wayne split from Lorraine Elston, with whom he has two children, a year ago. He says he and Anastacia, who has battled breast cancer and crohn's disease, " Went from a professional relationship to being friends." He has moved into her Beverly Hills home, though they're thought to divide there time between the US and the UK.

Before hitting the big time the R&B star worked as a wedding singer and performed at steven Spielberg's nuptials. Her own ceremony is rumoured to be takeing place in LA on 21st April.
