The single and video that's Cheryl's all-time favourite(!) and which was considered a better single option when the rest of Chemistry was right there is now available in 4K:

Sarah is a goddess of beauty in this video.

"See The Day" is fantastic ballad and very underrated GA song.

I’ve actually always had a bit of a soft spot for this. I think had it been a stand alone single the fans might not be so harsh on it but because it’s featured on Chemistry and it got a single push over some of the strong tracks on there it’s seen less favourable.

I think I prefer it to most of their covers though. Nadine sounds gorgeous on it and it did have a bit of a Christmassy esque feel too. I still enjoy it not necessarily a career highlight but it’s one of their stronger vocal performances.

It's okay I suppose, but I do really wish 'Whole Lotta History' had been the Xmas single and 'Models' the next one. I think they were trying to recapture the 'I'll Stand By You' formula but it felt a bit redundant.
it is an ok song. But yeah completely agree with above Whole Lotta History should have been pushed and Models a single instead, it’s definitely not single worthy!

This to all the above!

Wasn't this a cover from Dee C. Lee??

Confused about why you’re posing this as a question, when you must know that it is, to have posted her version? :kink:

Mind just went blank there for a moment. Thought there was a different version until I posted it.

EP now available!

The Chemistry era didn’t have many mixes  Makes me wonder what they’ll pad out the Chemistry CD’s track list with.

I do like See the Day, it's a lovely, pretty cover and I get why they thought it was a good idea to release (it paid off in a sense too with it being their biggest airplay hit since Sound of the Underground), but it definitely pales in comparison to most of their other singles, and it's a shame other more interesting songs from Chemistry didn't get a chance. I totally agree with Aly's suggestion - Whole Lotta History would've nicely ticked off the winter ballad box in my view, followed by Models to be the focus of Off the Record (seeing as it's the theme tune too...!).

Yeah I do think their cover is quite sweet actually but definitely rates more or less at the bottom of their singles discography. It was obviously an attempt at boosting album sales and getting airplay in a similar way ‘I’ll Stand By You’ worked for their previous album. In the ideal world, ‘Whole Lotta History’ would have been released in its place but then we probably wouldn’t have received that gorgeous Paris video for it.

It’s placing on the album gives me major whiplash too.

It’s ok just a bit bland, they went from Biology to this is a bit wtf? They really should have gone with WLH as the Xmas ballad and then models was screaming for a release, I think it would have been a big hit for them.

The video to STD is beautiful though they all look great and it’s very xmassy.

My second favourite Girls Aloud song and # 3 in 2005 year (behind Geri Halliwell - Desire and YVA - Barbie).
