I'd heard the song before, but it had a noted boost this past week and becomes the first top 40 hit by the Australian group not to be taken from 2023 album Jesus at the Gay Bar. - In an exceptionally tight week in the album chart, with Benson Boone continuing to perform well and Fred Roberts releasing his debut EP, it's The Kid LAROI who takes the album #1 back with THE FIRST TIME, for a ninth non-consecutive week. This comes after I saw Laroi live on his THE FIRST TIME Tour at Alexandra Palace on Tuesday (16th), and experienced the VIP soundcheck + meet & greet experience (pic below)! It was a great night, and the result also sees F*CK LOVE returning to the albums top 5, and a series of re-entries, including mega hit STAY back at #14, and a new peak for SORRY at #32. April 21, 20241 yr Hey Joseph! Forget about us is probably my favourite of the lm solo singles but im so underwhelmed by all of them regardless. Mistake is really good but im expecting it to bomb unfortunately as much as I like it. I don't wanna wait is pretty good and as amaples that guetta has done the last year or so, its way up there among the best but that's not exactly a hard bar to clear. Illusion is fab and honestly I think u may prefer it to the other two at the moment. Austins chart run is so funny to me. I am still hoping it can peak higher here but even if it doesn't, its had a veet decent run considering it's missed your top 15 so far. I'm kinda hoping we can't be friends descent will slow down a bit now. What a bop. Fab chart this week :)
