Posted January 7, 200718 yr The Killers turn down Ghostface Killah Collaboration gets nixed The Killers turned down a collaboration with Ghostface Killah. The former Wu Tang Clan member said that he wanted to combine his vocals with their music, but they pulled out. He said: "I wanted to do a song with them. I'm Ghostface Killah and they're the The Killers. We were going to do a mash-up with my vocals over their music, and it was going to be The Killers meet the Killah. But they did n't want to do it. I was disappointed." The rapper told Spin that he would like to get former Arctic Monkeys bassist Andy Nicholson to play with him. He said: "Who plays bass on this record? I've gotta get him on my next record!" source It's a shame they turned it down :( I think it would have been very interesting to hear what they would've come up with (probably would've been kinda similar to the Linkin Park and Jay Z project )
January 8, 200718 yr Author im happy they did also I'm happy they turned it down to be honest. can i ask why?
January 8, 200718 yr can i ask why? Well, rap & indie/rock don't mix well if you ask me, and to be honest Ghostface Killah would've murdered any Killers song anyway ( at murder the Killers).

January 9, 200718 yr good one  ah ok, fair enough. i take it you didn't like the Jay Z/Linkin Park project then? Yes, I did like that, but that's just because Linkin Park had already some rap on their songs before teamin' up with Jay-Z, so the mash-up wouldn't affect the style of the band anyways.
January 9, 200718 yr I think this would have been quite intresting. I like it when alternative genres mix and come together to creat different tracks. Ghostface will well respected and the track in which he does with Amy Winehouse is very good so I think it would have been intresting to see what would come of these two doing a track together.

January 11, 200718 yr Rap and Indie can be excellent, like the legendary Jay-Z/Linkin Park mash-ups but tbh they can do alot better than Ghostface Killer The Arctic Monkeys and Dizzee Rascal's collaboration is hopefully one to look out for :D
