January 11, 200718 yr so what about the working class parents who have disabled kids in the tender mercy of Tower Hamlets LEA, eh...? don't even get me started on Tower Hamlets - those schools already receive OVER TWICE the amount of £££££ PER CHILD than many other local authorities. If I picked up my school and kids and put in back down in Tower Hamlets we would receive more than £250,000 MORE per year. WTF??? but that is a whole other argument :arrr:
January 11, 200718 yr the funding system is bonkers! the schools i work in have all got a different structure. one 'inner city' school has plenty of money, another in a more afluent area is struggling to fcuk. a secondary school i work in would get 15% more money if it was in liecester!!! why?...

Hmmm, interesting, to listen to Ruth Kelly and those who are defending her you'd form the impression that Tower Hamlets had some sort of 'Third World' education system..... So things aint as bad as is being made out then...?

It's the old "Postcode Lottery" innit mate.... <_< I'm sorry, but as far as I'm concerned all State schools should receive EQUAL funding then you wont have any 'failing' schools at all.... I suppose originally we have the Tories and their 'opting out' policy to blame, but Nu Labour has done absolutely NOTHING to improve matters, in fact, they've actually made things worse.... It's saying something when countries in EASTERN EUROPE actually have better State Schooling than in the UK.... <_< This country's a fukkin' joke....
