Lydia Kollins from S17 is apparently on the cast as well, group 2 is currently filming and apparently is her, Jorgeous, Mistress, Kerri, Tina and Nicole Paige Brooks. Also Chappell Roan is apparently a guest judge

One of the reliable spillers has told us a bit about some of the queens’ edits:

 

Alyssa is given a positive “mother of the group” edit, comes across as a likely winner

Kitty has a villain edit, Baga on UKvTW vibes

Tessa is kind of a deluded Serena Cha Cha villain type, she flops basically the whole season

Kween has a bit of a cold/professional edit and is a bit cocky, but does the best

Nehellenia is Ru’s fave

Soa comes across unprepared in comedy etc

Vanity Vain has a Miss Congeniality type edit and is the lipsync assassin

Eve kind of flops after winning the talent show and is read a lot for her runways, particularly one really bad Disney inspired runway

 

 

 

 

Other assorted tea:

Tessa does badly at virtually every challenge but wins a design challenge which is seen as an unfair win by the others.

Kitty wins Snatch Game as Princess Diana

Vanity is said to have possibly the worst roast of all time, Utica level

Eva does rice cooking for the talent show and is top 2 but Vanity wins the lipsync

I love seeing drag Princess Dianas but I hope she's allowed to be decently dark because it's not really funny otherwise.

 

Not surprised that Soa struggles in comedy because she was originally rumored to not be even eligible to cast because her English wasn't strong enough to do a whole show in English.

 

On that note, making them compete in English feels a bit unfair given Thailand has already shown that having bilingual competition isn't impossible.

I think Soa’s English is fine, from what I heard she wasn’t that confident in English but it’s better than she admits so she was fine to be on and took the plunge.

 

I think they should just do like design, performance etc challenges, nobody would miss some horrible scripted challenge and honestly nobody would miss Snatch Game with the standard of it in nearly every season lately. I think it’s going to make the season feel worse as it goes on that a lot of the ESEL queens who personally I want to see more of go early and we end up left with the obvious Rugirls. If you look at say acting or Snaych Game, of course you will just get Kitty/Pythia/Alyssa/Kween doing well in those and the others struggling.

 

They could maybe still do a Snatch Game type thing but do as say a talent show type thing, you can do a normal impression of them as a monologue or something, or do a performance as a popstar for example. That way you don’t have a language barrier, even if someone speaks English fluently or close to it, I imagine it must be so hard to improvise in a second language. I suppose it would be harder than Thailand had it, as they just met in the middle with some English whereas here you have Spanish, French, Italian etc.

Apparently the following queens have made the merge:

 

Group 1: Irene, Aja, Bosco - Irene is top 2 for all 3 challenges, Bosco and Irene are top 2 twice and fhe other is Aja and Irene

Group 2: Lydia, Jorgeous, Mistress

 

There is a points system in place - the queens get 3 points for a win, 2 points for too 2, and the bottom 4 queens have to give a point to someone else.

 

 

I thought the Darienne rumour was bad, but jfc at them having Jorgeous on the very next AS season

I'm so confused how this works and feel like it will be a hot mess potentially, or it completely changes up the format and feels fresh and exciting. We will see lmao.

Disappointed the Phoenix slaying rumour was fake. I have actually followed her on social media though as a result of this, she is looking surprisingly fierce for an early season early out.

 

Jorgeous, really though? Can we stop pretending she's better than she is? Her only actual good performance I've seen is when she had to play Megan the doll which literally required her to look vacant and emotionless.

 

If it's the same 3 sets of challenges for each group this is even more confusing, as that means Jorgeous and Irene are going to excel at the same set of challenges which seems really unlikely.

That's probably because Ru doesn't really get any references outside of US Drag Race. The UK ones have been very questionable at times with him trying to get to change them to something he might know.

Also I don’t think Snatch game should be a staple anymore, especially on a global season because how are a bunch of queens in their second or possibly third+ language (I’m pretty sure Tessa speaks German, French and English) supposed to improvise and volley? Of course the ESL queens left other than Nehellenia are in the bottom.

Completely agree with this, never got the fascination with Jorgeous on her season or AS9, now got to see her get pushed again on AS10, I’m bored!
