'Litihum' is nowhere in sight - not even a mention

Eric Prydz Vs Floyd climbing high on mid-weeks

Source: Music Week

Leona Lewis’ reign atop the singles chart could be drawing to a close as midweek singles sales figures show Eric Prydz Vs Floyd climbing high.

Prydz Vs Floyd’s Proper Education (Data/Positiva) was last week’s highest new entry at number two, and sales figures since the weekend indicate it could take pole position by the end of the week.

Meanwhile US teen idol Jojo makes a giant leap from 22-4 with the Billy Steinberg-penned ballad Too Little Too Late (Mercury).

Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars - by far the most popular track on their Eyes Open album - is still hanging around the Top 10 this week, while unsigned act Koopa are doing very well with their digital-only track Blag, Steal Or Borrow.

Second highest new entry is a re-release of The Automatic’s Raoul (B-Unique) and the Freemasons’ Rain Down Love (Loaded) makes great gains from download to physical format, helped by its ever-increasing airplay support.

It's obvious what's happened really innit...? All the teeny-bop "fans" are all disappointed that Ev didn't do yet more commercial, poppy teen-angst "oh woe is me I'm such a tragic goff" sh!te, and actually decided - OH MY GOD :o - to do a far more mature, adult, less commercial Hard Rock album instead.....
I'm usually all for the commercial music, but I actually LOVE Lithium. :o
Think its just outside the top 20...it was mentioned as a new entry on Channel 4 teletext

It´s a shame because in my opinion this song is a lot better then the previous single. One thing that pisses me off is that when an act like Beyonce or Gwen Stefani starts flopping with an album the label does anything to recover it and they quickly release a single with massive exposure to save the album. While when it comes to an act like Evanescence, even if it starts with big sales (TOD nearly 100k first week), they seem to think that 1 single is enough and nobody else cares about the subsequent singles to be promoted. I think there is a conspiration in the music chanels and radio stations in favour of manufactured music, acts like Gwen or Beyonce will always get attention for all singles they released even if the previous flopped, while a rock band has to strugle to put a song on radio even if the previous single was a sizeable hit.
Hmmm.... too bad. Would have charted higher if it was physicals only. I hope the album re-enters the Top 40 at least.

I just think over here Ev. get one big single followed by decent album sales and then that's it because they simply can't get over to promote so much. Midweeks saying #29 isn't so bad, it really could have been worse, hopefully it'll rise a few places maybe.

It's just a shame that it's Lithium not doing so well as it is one of the best tracks.

It will drop I would suspect and may not even stay top 40!

It's a shame they're not promoting but I think a lot of songs are going to be missing out under these new rules.

It is their weakest single to date in my eyes but is still a flippin amazing track and one of the highlights of 'The Open Door' and deserves so much more. :(

Guess we will have to see if the album rises.

And TOTALLY agree with whoever mentioned the whole Beyonce & Gwen Stefani cherade.

Is Pallot lower than #29?

If she beat them [as much as I love the song] it would be a traversty.

Hope she can get top 40 :(

But UGH - I wonder if Ev will bother with any further releases from the album now? Maybe if they pick a more commercial song next time and promote it - it may fare better.

Oh and the album is up 1 place to #45. :arrr:

Up to #27 in Wednesday's update.
Well, if this charts higher then Everybody´s Fool did (#24, isn´t it?), then I´ll be happy. They need to promote this album in the UK. The album is still Top 50, which is good, they´re doing better with this followup the Nickelback, Linkin Park and other american rock bands in UK. IMO this is not the weakest single they had... In fact, Call Me When You´re Sober was their only single I didn´t like.

I love Lithium, but I can see why its charting well - I haven't heard it on the radio once and only just realised the single was out!

I do love The Open Door but it isn't radio friendly, even though I agree radio/music channels only play the same old stuff, and I do think its a harder album for new listeners to get into. I'm still trying to get some of the songs in my head and I've had the album since release. Also, I do think EV need to come over and do more publicity.

I'm not sure which track could be the next single after this....
