Pop years 2 is on Sky 3 at midnight. Darius definitely commented in a few of these. Tonight's is 1992. i remember he was on the 1990 one so there's a fair chance. It will be good to see Whitnet Houston as she was too.

It's got to the break but no Darius. Kate Lawler before she went all skinny, Kerry Katona while she was happy and Misteeq.

Sadly, not on that one. Mark Frith, James Redmond, the 3am girls - can't remember any more but the music wasn't bad and they have lots of news clips too.

 

Is it worth keeping this thread for little mentions, rumours etc do you think?

I think he was and certainly on 1999. They couldn't resist having on the show with HMBOMT.

 

I love to hear him talk about music on this type of show and when he chooses tracks himself. Can anyone remember/did anyone record Tracks of My Years on Radio 2? Is it somewhere on .net. I'd love to hear it again. He chose some crackers.

 

I'm not sure if that's the programme when he chose Secret Smile. Drat, I've forgotten the name of the group who recorded it but Darius later worked with the singer ( Dan Wilson? - probably got that wrong but it was something like that)

He chose Secret Smile by Semisonic on the LBC interview in November 2005.

 

Tracks of my Years is on .net in February 2003.

I hoped they'd be there. dariusmusic.net is such a treasure trove. Every time I think of something I want to know, hear or see about Darius, it's there somewhere.

 

I know the whole songs he chose aren't included but once I get the names I can seek them out.

Does anyoneone want to pick a number in the Grand National sweep, over in the Lounge? Beginning of August actually! na na na na!

According to today's Saturday Times magazine (Scotland), on Tartan Day in New York Darius was wearing "a sultry black kilt".

 

Strange way of putting it. I'd never describe a garment as sultry - sexy, yes but sultry? I think she meant Darius looked sultry in his black kilt. Can a man look sultry?

 

Judging from the pictures from Dressed To Kilt, I'd just go for pure dead sexy!

 

Anyone got a picture of that "sultry black kilt",please? The Times used the pic of Miss Scotland in her red tartan dress.
