My kids loved 'Cats'. If you like song and dance, you probably would. Just don't go looking for a full story.

Well try 'The Lion King' then. Is 'Beauty and the Beast' still on. The kids loved that.

Thank you but definitely not. I draw the line at Beauty and the Beast. That's one Disney film I didn't like at all.

I love song and dance

Do you know the show I enjoyed most? A really tacky one that I just laughed through. You had to join in to be part of it but, my sides ached at the end. Do you remember 'Return to the Forbidden Planet'. Not a masterpeice but the cast was really talented and it was just plain comic book fun. I didn't take my husband as he'd have curled up and died before he'd have joined in. I'm taking him to see 'Spamalot' for his birthday, and that will be even sillier but he wont have to take part.

I loathe audience participation stuff and you know I won't ever sit in the front row at a theatre.

Tbh, I'm much more a drama (including well written comedy) person, possibly because I studied so much English, American and European literature at school and university.

It doesn't mean you can't like simple comedy that's very well done. I just want something to lift me out of life for a while. If I ever get to a straight stretch and things go well for a while, then I may go for the intense. I just feel living is too intense to add more tension to.
I like stand up comedy when the comedy isn't based on belittling people or rudeness. You know, the ones that actually think of amusing things.
I used to see a few good ones but the last few have just relied on picking on people in the audience. That just doesn't amuse me. I just felt really sorry for them.
Baytree you studied exactly the same subjects at university as my son.
I'd like him to do a castles tour - but not a pop one. It'd be good to be in beautiful settings, listening to the music.
Id like a castles tour also, we have a lot of concerts at Powderham castle, exeter, a lot of big names have played there. Also does a lot of classical concerts, but he would never come this way exeter in particular, its considered to be someone elses area, when I say that the local radio stations play this person all the time you will know what I mean.
I'd like him to o anty of them. It remains to be seen hether his new stuff is played or no.

Wouldnt it be good if D got a chance to do this just to get him seen there.

The event will celebrate musicals such as Wicked, The Lion King, Rent, Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, as well as featuring classic Christmas hits.

The production, which will be performed twice in one day, will be supported by a large orchestra and full supporting cast of West End vocalists.
