The pic with Pam's post

Nice picture. She's not wearing a ring though.

I noticed that, a bit odd really, as when I got engaged the ring was permanent, its only come off a couple of times in 25 years, once was with my fourth kid - as it needed re-sizing!!

Darius looks wonderful though,

The UK media really do take the biscuit.

It's supposed to be what's happened in the week. When the papers and online sites in America, the Far East and all round Europe are buzzing with the news that Darius Danesh is to be Rhett Butler - heat twitters on about his love life!

Then they print a tiny, unflattering picture chosen from dozens of lovely ones available on several photo image sites and don't forget to say Hit Me Baby One More Time , Pop Idol etc. to tether him back then. Oh, and just in case that isn't a big enough steer, let's print a picture of Andy Scott Lee right in the corner - See what we did there?......PI(2) and Hear'say all connected up to Darius for you.

mind you Heat is only full of rubbish..they wouldnt want to alienate their readers, at least there is the fact they mention he is to star again in the West End, where as most of those celebs in the mag's next big outing is out of a nightclub half paralletic

No, they do not mention he is a star - that's reduced to the very basic compliment they can give -

he has "landed a role" in Gone With The Wind

Bu what a role. I don't think anyone expects anymore from Heat. It seems to be getting worse. They would be interested in someone's lovelife, just not interested in the person.

I guess it's just not my kind of mag then. I like to get a picture of the whole person.
I've just been told that the first posters have gone up in some underground stations.

I rather liked the Darius one for G&D which was outside the Playhouse. Sean's was super too.

Maybe the GWTW posters will just be the artwork with the stars' names and the show's name. I'd be a bit disappointed if they were. I think real people have more impact than silhouettes.

Don't know if it has been mentioned but this has been updated..

Darius Danesh

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Darius Danesh (Persian: داريوش دانش, born 19 August 1980 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a platinum-selling recording artist, songwriter, and West End stage actor. He rose to fame on the hit British TV show Pop Idol, the predecessor to American Idol.

His first, self-penned single Colourblind entered the UK singles chart at number one, and his debut album went platinum under the guidance of Grammy-winning U2 producer Steve Lillywhite. Darius has had five UK Top Ten singles and he is managed by Simon Fuller.

In 2006 he ended a second successful West End run in the musical Chicago playing Billy Flynn, and 2007 saw him star as Sky Masterson in the Olivier Award winning Guys and Dolls.

During 2008 he will star as Rhett Butler in Trevor Nunn’s musical adaptation of Gone With The Wind in London.

Theatre work

Darius celebrated a five month sell-out West End run in Chicago during 2005-2006, and at 25, officially became the youngest actor ever to fill the role of Billy Flynn since the show first opened on Broadway in 1975, appearing in 121 shows without missing a performance.

In 2007 Darius starred as Sky Masterson, taking on the role originally played by Ewan McGregor, in Michael Grandage's Olivier Award winning production of Guys and Dolls.

On 5th December 2007 he reprised his role of Billy Flynn for the 10th Anniversary charity performance of Chicago in London, to benefit the charities Breast Cancer Haven and Breast Health Institute.

From April 2008 he will star as Rhett Butler, the role immortalised on screen by Clark Gable, in Trevor Nunn’s musical adaptation of Gone With The Wind in London's West End.

Anyone can.

It's a strength because used properly it ensures a database which is up to the minute.

However, it's also Wiki's Achilles' heel. I've seen threads on DS sniggering about terrible things which have been inserted into people's entries on it.

It's a pity that some people derive their pleasure from being abusive and ruining other people's.

Well I don't either for the reasons I've given above. I prefer IMDB etc.where everything has to be verified by the moderators before it's added.
