I've got one. It also has the words of 'Colourblind' written around the edge (although that is an added extra) and Darius assures me that he has played it and it is good.

They are decent guitars, well made and finished.

:o Do you play the guitar Meg?

the guitar Darius is playing looks wonderful, what a lovely shade of blue, I think I want one - not any good to me though, I cannot learn guitar, I am left handed and all the notes are the wrong way round

Hey I'm the type that buys my car by colour, why not a guitar? I love the blue.

If that's the Darius guitar, I'm so tempted.

My head tells me it would be foolish because I've never stuck playing any musical instrument - I've "played" piano, violin, recorder, chanter (early bagpipes practice) and for a while I had a classic guitar which I plink plonked out a few tunes on. It would just be an expensive fad.

I'll wait to see if my heart outbids my head.

Maybe it's not the same one then. I've also got a pic of D carrying it in somewhere.

Paul, I don't play guitar but my men do. They aren't allowed to play this one though. They did try it out when I first had it but, not since then.

Lovely photo's Meg - I remember when you got it - was a lovely pressie it was for you

Is it one of these Guitar Aid one's then? ... I'd thought yours was one of Darius's own guitars, I've never heard anything about Guitar Aid before reading all this:

Hey did you know there are 'Darius' guitars?

The guitar is an electro-acoustic one that Darius helped to design to be sold to raise funds for a Christian charity called Guitar Aid who distribute guitars all around the world.

The guys who run the charity apparently got talking to Darius on a flight back from America in early 2004 and he was interested in what they were trying to do.

I thought it would be the guitar Darius is pictured with beside the spiel about the Darius guitar but maybe I'm wrong about that.

I've never seen anything about this - has it been posted anywhere else Darius-related ever? If not, shouldn't it be? It seems a shame for it to be tucked away inside a 'bits & pieces' thread, apart from it being something interesting/Darius-related ... it's for a worthy cause - it seems more interesting than a bit or piece to me anyway. Mind you, I'm not sure what the purpose of a bits & pieces thread is anyway - I just know I was surprised to find something as interesting as this in here :P

The purpose of a Bits and Pieces thread is a place to put anything we're not sure whether to start a new thread for. Maybe in this case I should have, but better here than not at all.

It's just a miscellany but I'm sure if the mods want to, they could separate out and make a new thread for anything of interest from this bits and pieces thread.

If we had known about it I'm sure some of us would have gone....and then we could show you the photos.

You can bet your last bottom pair of boots with a goat attached that had we known he was in Paris, with Shakira we would have been there ....

Well at least I would have been ..... comme interprete ... si vous avez besoin ...

I can see us now, in the Place de la Republique .... on the very site of the Bastille .... Megham wearing her Revolutionary Hat .... Pam with her shirt hanging out ... Boo takes to the steps and declares ...

Quand le jour glorieux de la revolution vient, tous les fanas de Darius recueillera et le cri sera.... " A bas les aristos batards qui s'appellent DIX NEUF ... nous sommes ici Darius, ici pour toi ... et nous t' adorons!!

The scottish flag will be raised and the assembled crowd will sing .

"Allons enfants de la Patrie, le jour de glorie est arrive!!" et apres .... "Abat-jour de couleur"

One day ... one day soon ....

I love Paris and feel truly comfortable travelling around it. I definitely would have been there too.

Don't get me started on Mercury/Brilliant 19. The latter are less than brilliant in my eyes. I wish Darius would get himself a new management team.

So do I. The acts they have are not getting a crack of the whip apart from one,.

Regarding Paris went there for my honeymoon many moons ago

Yes only because he "Won" but only after Darius was nobbled in my opinion. If we knew then what we know now, we could have ordered a stewards enquiry....

At last somewhere where we can criticise Rubbish/19 they do not warrant the styling "Brilliant" ... more like c**p. What they have done for our man could be written on the back of a stamp and still leave room for the Lord's Prayer

Surely he cannot be happy with the situation.
