If I remember right, you were shaking so much he'd have done anything you asked - and he thought the kids were lovely.
Changing the subject again, if anyone is interested Shaun williamson who played Nathan in guys and dolls is on tv tonite. He is on itv1 at l0 p.m. quote Shaun williamsons tough gig - the actor and funnyman gets suited and booted to join the design divas at Paris fashion week hoping to leave the haute coulture audience in stitches when he presents his standup comedy show. Somehow that doesnt seem to go with paris fashion week.

Thanks, Preston. I've got the tuner on this PC working now so I can watch while I type. I'd stopped bothering with it because I hated the extension aerial connection dragging through two rooms but today I got a cheap indoor aerial in a pound shop of all places and the 3 main channels are really clear. Channel 4 and 5 are a bit poorer but not bad for a quid.

I'm watching it now and I'm already going up the wall watching for 5 minutes the people he's doing his research with. :banghead: I wonder how long he had to be with them to get that footage. He certainly isn't mincing his words in his commentary though. He's very funny so I think I'll tough it out.

don't think I will be booking to see Shaun as a comic if he come to a theatre near me though, amusing yes, funnyman.no.

I only watched in case he mentioned darius, obviously he didnt, but I find its the only reason I watch a lot of things...

and off topic, Darius made my kids days the times they met him, although I don't imagine he kept the pictures my little one gave him, he was so considerate and attentive. LOL

I've always been impressed watching Darius with all kinds of people but children really seem to make an almost instant connection with him.

Maybe it's just me, but when I was very small I remember being very scared of big, dark men with deep voices.

My Dad was a big, dark man with a deep voice. He was the only father who played with his kids. I remember the excitement of him coming home every eening when I was little. Most people appreciated him. I suppose his being larger than lie (not fat) and healthy was why I never ever thought he'd die so young.

I lost all my grandparents early in life but I was lucky that both my parents survived into their eighties. Sadly, I don't think I ever really told them how great they were.

My mother's father was killed in an accident at work when she'd just left secondary school. I don't think either Mum or Gran really got over his sudden loss emotionally.

It's thinking they'll always be there. He was in his mid 50s but, I never got to say goodbye he died so quickly. So I realise how they must have felt. It's a support taken from your world. Mum never got over it.

A sort of review for kelly osborne from the sun -

Fortunately, Kelly's performance, which received a standing ovation, seemed to bring a smile back to her mother's face.

Kelly, the youngest actress ever to take on the role of prison matron Mama Morton, is at the beginning of a seven-week stint at London's Cambridge theatre.

A star is born: Kelly is the youngest actress to take on the role of Mama Morton

Her debut peformance drew a full house, which included Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse as well as Sharon's fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh.

Speaking after the show, he said: "Kelly was brilliant. She is only 22 years old and she did an amazing job singing live

Other celebrities who have appeared in the show include Brooke Shields, Claire Sweeney and Denise van Outen.

Kelly's stint at the Cambridge Theatre is merely her latest career move since she came to the world's attention five years ago in fly-on-wall documentary The Osbournes.

Since then she has been a television personality, actress, singer - in 2003 she topped the chart with Changes, a duet with her father - and fashion designer, and was recently unveiled as the new host of a BBC Radio 1 show.

Kelly will perform in the show for seven weeks

Amy Winehouse turned up for last night's performance with her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, and Kelly's friend Kate Moss arrived 20 minutes late - but then she is a supermodel, so that probably counts as early.

Her companion, thought to be a friend of Kelly, spent much of his time in his seat texting.

Not much 'review' in there is there? It doesn't leave me any the wiser about her ability in the role than I was before.

there was a large picture of Kelly with her dad accompamying a peice about Chicago, it didnt say anything about her performance, she did look great though, possibly more the Roxy than the mamma with her black bob and red lippy.

I think the bits that stood out for me in that was - a star is born!! and Other celebrities who have appeared in the show include Brooke Shields, Claire Sweeney and Denise van Outen - no mention again for D. especially when they mention clare sweeney. Kelly osborne is certainly being pushed. She is to do an evening radio 1 programme - dont laugh - as an agony aunt.
Darius isn't a girl - I think that's a good reason for him not being mentioned. He parents will get her a load of publicity. It's a shame that this and the review in the Express centre on them rather than her. I think it'd be a shame, if she was good, that that was overlooked and it was just about her parents and friends. This kind of review isn't what she deserves. She deserves one centred on her role.

I think it must be hard for her because there will always be the allegation from some people that any success she gets will be down to the influence of her parents.

What did annoy me was an interview on Sky BBC where the interviewers were going on about what a massive and demanding role Mama Morton was and about Kelly having to dance. I thought - Eh? I've seen Chicago a dozen times and more.

Found this on bbc news

"Gala to mark Chicago anniversary"

Past stars of West End stage musical Chicago are uniting for a performance to mark its 10th anniversary.

Denise Van Outen, Ute Lemper and Ruthie Henshall will be among the performers at the London gala on 5 December.

The event will be co-hosted by Andrew Lloyd Webber, actress Liz Hurley and Oscar winner Julian Fellowes.

The show opened at London's Adelphi Theatre in 1997, and has played to around 4.5 million people during its run of more than 4,000 performances.

It transferred to the Cambridge Theatre last year.

'Stunt casting'

Other performers from the rapidly-changing cast who have been confirmed for the charity gala include former Blue star Duncan James and X Factor singer Brenda Edwards.

Based on the 1926 play of the same name, the musical version of Chicago made its debut on Broadway in 1975, with choreography by Bob Fosse.

Denise Van Outen played Roxie Hart in both the UK and US

The story focuses on would-be starlet Roxie Hart who is hauled into prison for killing her lover.

After hiring hotshot lawyer Billy Flynn, she becomes a press sensation - much to the disgust of fellow inmate and murderess Velma Kelly.

A successful Broadway revival in 1996 led directly to the West End production, and further shows are currently planned for Japan, South Korea and Denmark.

The latest cast member to make her debut in London is Kelly Osbourne, whose maiden performance as prison warden Mama Morton was greeted warmly on Monday night.

Actors who have graced the stage in the lead male role of Billy Flynn during the past decade include David Hasselhoff, singer Marti Pellow and Torchwood star John Barrowman.

The show has become known for "stunt casting" - putting well-known names in lead roles to generate box office interest.
