I just can't see her as Mama and I don't think she would have been cast if her parents weren't famous.

Exactly. Has she had any big hits apart from the no.1 with her dad? I thought her last single bombed.

She's a PERSONALITY. Not done anything, hasn't shown any talent yet - but, she's young enough for something to come through, I just don't think this is giving her thae chance to show it.

Shes a personality in that sense but not to me has she personality. She gets masses of press probably because of her parents but more likely they also employ max clifford as does simon cowell yet what success has she had compared to D.

have booked to see Ian kelsey in chicago first week october so will report back on his performance as billy flynn and the others. Dont know who the other leads are.

That's why I don't get Kelly being preened into a Velma lookalike.

In magazines....I was wondering why too

Maybe they'll switch her role half way through. I can imagine her managing either of the two female leads even less than Mama.

Apparently she sang Funny Hunny(?) at her audition so maybe she'd like to be Roxie.

I don't really see Kelly coping with the dancing demands of that part. Off course I could be way off beam. I'd never have guessed I would ever see Darius doing a demanding showstopping fast and athletic dance routine with professionals and not looking the least out of place.

Here's a question.

Although they were there in different eras, what connects the two fprmer Edinburgh University students, Darius Danesh and the current Prime Minister, Gordon Brown?

Ive no idea either baytree. Do tell.

Going off on a tangent again, I notice annie lennox is no.23 on airplay with her new single Dark road and it is not a number I can imagine would do well, but technically is ok but no go in it if you know what I mean, however she is managed also by simon fuller, bit worried about 19s choice of songs aftr Gareths changes and now this. She however I imagine has a large fanbase. Ive heard it several times but still cant remember it.

Do you mean they were both past staff members of The Student magazine?

Do you have copies of the Student magazine, Baytree? Are there any poems

or articles by D?

Yes, that's what I meant, as were Robin Cook and Lord Steele. I wonder if Darius would make a good politician. Perhaps diplomacy's more him, though.

I'm sorry I don't have any copies of the student mag because I went to Glasgow Uni. I don't even have any copies of our publications.

Incidentally, megham, I went to the same school as the current Lib Dem leader, Menzies Campbell and he was a bit of a teachers' hero we were all supposed to look up to. He wasn't a politician. I seem to remember he was a former athlete.

No one famous went to my old school as far as I know. Not living in the area anymore, I probably wouldn't know anyway.

Gone with th wind musical to go ahead - WOS Final dates have now been set for two new year productions: Trevor Nunn’s musical adaptation of Gone with the Wind and the Old Vic revival of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow starring Kevin Spacey.

At the West End’s New London Theatre (See News, 3 Jun 2007), Gone with the Wind will receive its world premiere on 22 April 2008 (previews from 5 April) and is initially booking through to 27 September 2008.

It will depend on the music of course but could see D in the role of Rhett butler.

sighs...he would make a perfect Rhett Butler

I am losing heart about new albums..I am just desperate to see him using that voice and that talent of his! so anything would be good at this point - leaving aside Celebrity BB strictly dance, fame academy..jungle stuff.

I was saying to him that I liked his voice best when he just opens up and sings. He said that tha's what a lot had said and promised we'd really like the material he had decided on. We know he spent a while recording in London after 'Guys and Dolls'. He said it was his highest priority.

I wouldn't give up on it for a while. It just seems a long time until next year.
